SkinBetter Science Reviews

One of the best ways to keep your skin in the best possible condition is by changing it up as the seasons change. During the winter you want to use something a little heavier in order to protect your skin from the cold and wind. During the summer you want to use something that’s lighter and contains some form of sunscreen if you don’t use sunscreen separately. I received a set of SkinBetter skincare products somewhere between the middle and end of the winter and found that it did absolutely nothing to protect my skin so I put it aside and got back to it in the spring when I don’t require as much protection.

The people over at SkinBetter sent me their Smooth line which includes the Daily Treatment Cream for the face, Intensive Treatment serum, Daily Treatment Cream for the eye area and the AlphaRet Overnight Cream. Normally I would review each product one by one but in this case I found that the line is truly meant to be used together as a whole so I’m going to review it as a whole.

SkinBetter Reviews

After washing my face with a cleanser I would pat my skin dry and being the process of applying the SkinBetter Science products. First I would apply the Daily Treatment Cream for the eye, then I applied the Intensive Treatment serum and then I would put on the Daily Treatment Cream for the face. The products are on the thin side so which makes them perfect for layering because they will still allow your skin to breath if you’re sitting in the beautiful spring sun.

I don’t like heavily perfumed skin care products because they cause my skin to dry out and because they make my rosacea flare up. Come to think of it, I find that most perfumed products dry out my skin so I try to stay away from them. In the case of the SkinBetter products I didn’t detect any sort of fragrance at all which I was super happy about.

As I mentioned earlier, I’m going to review the line as a whole and that’s mainly because I didn’t see great results when I used them in conjunction with other products or alone. For example, when I used the moisturizer without the serum I noticed that my skin looked a little smooth but not really. When I used it with the serum it felt smooth and looked radiant. So, as a whole, the serum, moisturizer, eye cream and night cream make up a great team. Once the weather warmed up they protected and moisturized my skin while giving it a nice glow.

The stars of the line for me are the under eye cream and the night cream. I had a few sleepless nights and the under eye cream helped to keep me from looking like I had a black eye. Better than that though is the night cream which is took the entire line to a whole new level because it gives everything else a heavy duty boost so that I really saw a difference in the moisture and glow of my skin. As far as fine lines go though, I can’t say of the serum helped with that because I have some tiny ones on my forehead that don’t really stand out at all and I didn’t see a change.

The one downfall that I saw from the SkinBetter line is that I had to use two full pumps of each product to cover my face. This means that I really did get only eight weeks worth of product because it’s been wight weeks since I started using it and I’m officially out of product. If you’re on a budget this may be a problem. On the other hand, if you like to change things up and try new products every couple of months then this may not be such a bad thing.

If you want to try out the SkinBetter Science line then head on over to where you can learn more about this line and some other ones. I recommend it if you live in a warmer climate area but if it’s chilly out there I would put it on hold.

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Thanks for the honest introduction to SkinBetter. It could get pricey if you have to buy the entire line because they work best together. But it did sound like you had good results with the Night Cream.

I’m not familiar with the line but I love that you mention it doesn’t have a fragrance. That’s not what I want in skincare.

The AlphaRet cream sounds great. Does it contain retinol?

I really like their packaging colors – rose gold and navy! That’s not a combo you see often.
