Right off the bat, I love the philosophy behind the Highlight Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick line! They’re all about taking care of yourself from the inside out which makes perfect sense if you’re on the lookout for healthier beauty products that help you feel good on the inside while helping you look better on the outside.
Company Description- ‘Highly pigmented moisturizing liquid lipstick. Soft velvet feel that lasts the whole day on your lips. You can achieve the opaque pigment you want with only one coat and the best part is that it will not smear while you eat, drink or as temperature rises. Apply once and you are good to go!’
Highlight Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick Review
The color that I got to try is called Magenta Sunset. It’s a beautiful, rich pink color that I love because it’s on the brighter side. With all of the snow on the ground I love to wear colors that brighten up my mood.
The lipstick comes in a tube very much like the ones that hold lip gloss and it’s applied exactly like a gloss. All I needed to get full pigment and coverage was one swipe. It actually goes on smooth as velvet and takes seconds to dry. I did use a matching lip liner for a cleaner look but did notice that there was no trace of color bleeding at all.
I actually downed two cups of coffee within five minutes after I applied the lipstick and it stayed in place. Throughout the day I drank tons of water, ate fruit and had dinner and the lipstick stayed put without needing to be reapplied. No smudging, no fading and the color was as vibrant as ever. It wasn’t until after dinner that the lipstick basically wore off, but when it did, it looked messy. I had traces of pink around my lip area making it look like I smeared on some messy lip liner. It’s a good thing that I had my lipstick handy though because I quickly touched it up and had it looking fresh for the rest of the night. I really have no complaints at all when it comes to lasting power.
Something else that I love about this lipstick is that it made my lips look fuller. I know that it’s not something that the brand promised to do and am not sure if it’s the color or my lips reacting to something in the ingredients but I’ll take it.

There are a couple of downfalls that I noticed about the Highlight liquid lipstick though. The first is that it’s a bit drying. It doesn’t bother me all that much however, the description does describe the lipstick to be moisturizing and I disagree with that. The second thing is that it doesn’t disguise the fine lines on my lips at all. They still look pretty pronounced to me, so much so that I can draw each one out precisely. Again, it doesn’t bother me all that much but it goes against the description.
I love that the lipstick has such great pigment and lasting power so I would purchase one in the future and recommend it to others. It’s actually one of the better long lasting lipsticks that I’ve used so far and I love that they make it with so many natural ingredients.
There are 10 shades of HIghlight Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks available for sale right now. They each retail for $25 which is reasonale when you consider that they last long enough that you don’t have to reapply throughout the day. You can check them out on https://highlightcosmetics.com/.
