Press Sample- Review by Aleya
There are two reasons that I love Reviva Labs. First, they make cruelty free, natural products that work and second their products take your skin care routine to a whole new level. While I’m beyond obsessed with their masks, I also love their facial serums. The latest serum that they sent over for me to try is their Stem Cell Serum which I have to tell you excited me because there’s something about the term stem cell that makes me think hi-tech, innovative and science.
Company Description- ‘Revolutionary” Swiss Apple Stem Cell Serum. (Helps combat skin aging.) A.M. and P.M. apply stem cell serum before your day or night cream to enhance the effects of your regular cream or serum as you add dramatic anti-wrinkle and texturizing benefits. In our advanced formula, we have blended in select organic botanicals that provide additional anti-aging benefits.’
Reviva Labs Stem Cell Booster Serum Review
The Stem Cell Serum by Reviva Labs comes in a glass bottle which is healthier than plastic and has a pump which makes it easier to get the serum out. It looks like a lightweight moisturizer and is white in color. It doesn’t have a fragrance which is great for those of you who are sensitive to perfumed products and it absorbs into the skin in seconds. So far it’s all good and it only gets better.
During the autumn season we had very mild weather here in New York and I found that I could wear the serum without using moisturizer over it and it made my skin feel soft. During the winter I found that that the serum is light enough that it allows my skin to breath even after I’ve applied a heavy winter moisturizer over it. Feeling heavy and stuffy is never a good feeling for me and it’s one of the reasons that I shy away from many cosmetic and skin care products. I like to feel light and this serum helps me get the smooth skin that I want and feel naturally light at the same time. During the winter this is huge for me because I dry out so easily.
Something else that I noticed about the serum is that it helped to improve the performance of the moisturizer that I was using at the time. I didn’t think much of it at first but when I stopped using it because I wanted to see the effects of the moisturizer on it’s own I saw a noticeable difference. I headed over to the company site and found that they actually wrote that one of the key benefits of the product is that it contains ‘Swiss apple stem cells which help to revive the skins own dormant stem cells and can help bring new life and energy to the epidermis. Recharging epidermal cells with the Reviva Labs stem cell serum makes skin more responsive to the day or night cream applied over our serum. Overall results are accelerated and remarkably improved.’ As usual, the company delivered on their promise.
I just turned 40 a few months ago and am just beginning to see one or two super fine lines on my forehead. It’s nothing that stands out unless I stare in the mirror for a while. However as the lines start to become more pronounced I will definitely revisit this serum because they claim that it helps to ‘decrease the appearance of lines and wrinkles in 30 days.’
I’m all about ingredients and if you are too then here’s a list of ingredients that they used in the Reviva Labs Stem Cell Booster Serum:
‘Purified Water, Glycerin, Organic Aloe Leaf Juice, Emulsifying Wax NF, Malus Domestica Apple Stem Cell Culture Extract, Xanthan Gum, Lecithin (Soy), Organic Flax Seed Oil, Organic Borage Oil, Organic Green Apple Extract, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Carbomer 940, Phenoxyethanol, Ethyl Hexyl Glycerin.’
A 1 oz bottle of the serum is $30 and it lasted me about two and a half months. If you need a booster for your favorite moisturizer then I definitely recommend giving it a try. This is another great product from a brand that has never let me down before.
