Apple And Avocado Body Scrub Recipe

8 Feb

About a year ago I attended a spa show where I purchased a mask that claimed to make the skin look vibrant. Well, my skin didn’t glow like the sun but I did turn red because my rosacea went crazy. The apple fragrance of the face mask was delicious though so I decided to to try make my own concoctions at home starting with this apple and avocado body scrub recipe because you know that I love my avocados.

One of the things that I love the most about making my own scrubs is that you get make it to your own liking. I don’t like scrubs that are super heavy on the salt or sugar because my skin is so sensitive but if you like more sugar then go ahead and add more. Also, I added olive oil to it because during the winter my skin get so insanely dry but if you want to skip it then you can add another oik such as almond or coconut oil. You really can make this DIY apple and avocado body scrub your own.

DIY Apple And Avocado Body Scrub Recipe

The ingredients that you need to make this scrub are:

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 medium sized apple
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 and 3/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup ground coffee (optional)

To make this recipe all you have to do is:

  • Peel the avocado, remove the pit and mash it with a fork
  • Peel the apple, remove the core and mash it up in a food processor
  • Mix all of the ingredients together and store them in a glass container that has a lid.

I recommend using all fresh scrub recipes on the same day that you make them but if life happens and you need to put a hold on using it then you can refrigerate it for up to two days. When you’re ready to use it, just take it into the shower with you and gent;y rub it onto your skin using a circular motion.

It’d be so fun to make my own scrub! I’ll have to do it the next time the kids are gone for the evening so they don’t want to eat it or help… I want to make it and relax lol
