I have already written a couple of MD Sun reviews where I told you about their Super Hydration Serum and their Intensive Eye Gel. The way that I know that I’m obsessed with a brand is when I use their product once and after a while I still think about it, recommend it and repurchase it. The MD Sun products fell into all three of those categories for me so I was really excited when I got the opportunity to try out their Revitalizing Cleanser.
Company Description- ‘This gentle cleanser deeply cleanses your pores, purifies skin and removes impurities, makeup, and oil without disturbing the skin’s natural balance. Three powerful, yet gentle acids work together to help cell regeneration, while olive oil, β-Glucan and damascena-rose oil protect and maintain a youthful appearance. After one use, your face is left makeup-free, pH-balanced, and beautifully glowing!’
MD Sun Revitalizing Cleanser Review
My first worry about anything that goes on my skin is whether or not it’s going to cause my skin to flare up because I have rosacea. After reading the ingredients on the box and seeing that the cleanser contains rose damascena flower oil I got pretty panicked about how I would react to the product because I’ve had bad experiences with rose before. I decided to give it a try though because the company claims that the cleanser can be used by anyone with dry, sensitive and combination skin.
The first thing that I noticed about the MD Sun Revitalizing Cleanser is that it has a pretty soft floral fragrance. It only lasts about as long as you’re washing your skin with it but I enjoyed the experience while it was there. The cleanser is a clear gel which foams anly slightly and is easy to spread and rinse off. After using it I found that my skin felt moisturized, clean and glowing. Best of all, there was no sign of irritation at all so after my first use, using it became a truly relaxing, enjoyable and refreshing experience. Over a period of three weeks I found that it really became one of the things that I looked forward to in my skin care routine because my skin felt so good after using it.
There’s something else that I found to be impressive about the Revitalizing Cleanser- it’s one awesome makeup remover! I didn’t believe it either but it worked for me and my needs. I usually like to use MAC ((click to read my full MAC makeup wipes review) or Neutrogena wipes to take off all of my eye makeup at the end of the night. The problem is that sometimes I’m left with a little sliver of black liner that ends up all over my already dark under eye area and using another wipe is such a waste for such a little thing. Putting one drop of the cleanser on a Q-tip is a quick and effective way to get rid of the left over makeup residue. Of course just rubbing it near my eye area in the shower works nicely too.
The MD Sun Revitalizing Cleanser costs $48 for 4 fl oz bottle which is great considering how nicely it works as a cleanser and that it can be used as makeup remover. I love the sample that I got and will most definitely purchase it in the future.
