Dermaflash Review

Press Sample- Review by Rashin

My skin is all kinds of crazy. I have days where it’s smooth and clear, days with horrible acne breakouts and even days where my skin is dry as the dessert. Exfoliating is something that helps to keep my skin in check so that it looks good. Sometimes though I need more than just my fingers and a sugar scrub to get good results. Until now I’ve been reaching for my Clarisonic but I’ve recently started using a Dermaflash which claims to do more than simply exfoliate.

Company Description- ‘Dermaflash was made specifically for women. Dermaflash Facial Exfoliating Device comfortably and discreetly sweeps away skin imperfections, dullness, and peach fuzz with a subtle sonic vibration. In just three simple steps, it gently removes dead cells, debris, and fine hair from the cheeks, jawline, lip area, chin, and forehead. It is safe for all skin types, skin colors, and ages. Dermaflash immediately unveils smoother, more vibrant, and younger-looking skin in the comfort of your own home. Prep is a pre-treatment cleanser and Soothe is a nourishing hydrator for use immediately after using Dermaflash.’

Dermaflash Facial Exfoliating Device Review

The Dermaflash DF3 Kit includes:

  • Charging Base
  • Power supply cord
  • Owners Manual
  • Quick Start Guide
  • Prep 25 ml/.8 fl oz
  • Soothe 25 ml/.8 fl oz
  • 6 Dermaflash edges

When I first saw all of the stuff that was included in the kit I thought that it was going to take up a lot of space which I seriously don’t have. When I got the kit though I found that it was all pretty compact and took very little space in my vanity. I actually like to keep everything in the box that it came in so that way I don’t lose or misplace anything. As for those times that it is in use or hanging out by the sink, it still doesn’t take up much space at all.

Using the Dermaflash exfoliator takes only 5 to 10 minutes and is pretty easy to do:

Step 1 Prep- Clean the surface of your skin with the Prep cleanser. Wipe clean and gently pat dry. This will ensure a clean, dry surface for optimal results.

Step 2 Edge- Insert a new Edge into your Dermaflash. Start the treatment in front of your ear at the top of your cheekbone. With your free hand, hold your skin taught and using short, feathery strokes glide Dermaflash inward towards nose over the contours of your cheek and entire side of your face. Continue with the same light feathery strokes on the chin, below and above the lip and finish with the forehead. Avoid the eyelid, eyebrows, hairline, sides of the nose and lips. The blue silicone pad on the side is intended to stay in contact with your skin throughout use to maintain the correct angle. The treatment takes about 5 to 10 minutes. For safety and ultimate efficacy a new Edge must be used each time.

Step 3 Soothe- To care for your skin after treatment, apply a thin layer of Soothe hydrator all over your entire face. Soothe was specially formulated to help keep skin soft and smooth.

The first time that I used my Dermaflash I was surprised at how gentle it felt on my skin. All I felt was a slight vibration and no abrasion at all. I’m pretty prone to breakouts but the Prep and Soothe didn’t irritate my skin at all which means that I didn’t suddenly get a face full of acne. I’ve uses the Dermaflash over ten times now and it always makes my skin looks clean and fresh. I really do look much more vibrant than a couple of days before I had used it.

After just one use of the Dermaflash I found that my skin looked healthier and more radiant. Score! What confused me though is that there was a whole little grouping of peach fuzz that came off of my skin. Apparently getting rid of the fuzz is one of the things that the Dermaflash exfoliator does to make your skin look better. I was pretty psyched about this when Aleya who is a hair removal specialist got me wondering about how this would affect me in the long run. Apparently taking your hair out can cause them to grow thicker over time so I’m wondering if this is going to happen if I keep using the Dermaflash. As of now, I’ve got no complaints.

The Dermaflash Facial Exfoliating Device is available in blue or pink and retails for $189 on I like the way it makes my skin look and recommend it to anyone looking for a gadget that can help improve the look of their skin.
