The third installation of my anti-aging beauty tips is geared towards women who are in their thirties. Why am I breaking up the age groups you ask. Because as we age our skin changes. We lose moisture, collagen and that beautiful, healthy glow we all chase. It gets slightly harder to nurture ourselves and we have to make changes to our beauty routine ever so often in order to look our best. As far as your thirties goes, this is the time when you notice that your skin is a bit drier than it used to be, your collagen starts slacking and you begin to notice brown spots. Don’t worry, it’s not the end of the world. There are many easy things that you can do to turn back time- or at least slow it down.
Anti-Aging Beauty Tips For 30 Year Olds
Remove All Makeup Before Going To Bed
Washing away all of the dirt and makeup residue of the day is a great way to remove free radicals and pollution from your skin. A good moisturizing cleanser that is meant for your skin type will also refresh and nourish your skin. On the other hand if you make it a habit to sleep with your makeup on then you’ll notice that over time the elasticity of your skin isn’t so great anymore.
Turn That Frown Upside Down
We’ve all caught ourselves frowning from time to time. While a rare frown isn’t the worse thing you can do to your skin, constant frowning causes fine lines to appear on your skin over time. All the skin care in the world won’t help you if your face is in a constant frown position. If you can’t help it then think about botox, otherwise make a conscience effort to keep a smooth profile.
Start Using A Serum
Although you use a daytime and a nighttime moisturizer, it’s important to start using a serum on a regular basis as well. There are serums for all sorts of skin needs. Whether it’s to fight off sun spots, add extra moisture, help acne issues or reduce redness there’s a serum for you. The reason that you want to introduce a serum to your routine is because they contain more active ingredients that moisturizers so you really give father time a run for his money.
Fight Off Those Brown Spots
There are a few things that you can do to keep away brown spots. First and foremost, be sure to use a good sunscreen every day and try to cut back on tanning. A good serum can also help with sun spots but be sure to look for one that has brightening properties. In addition to that you can exfoliate at night instead of during the day because that’s when your collagen production is most active.
Get Your Amino Acids
As I mentioned earlier, your thirties is when your collagen production starts slowing down. Using skin care products that contain amino acids is a great way to help boost your collagen production so that you can fight off those fine lines and wrinkles for a while longer.
Add Retinol To YourSkin Care
One of the best anti-aging beauty tips for thirty year old that I can think of is to recommend using under eye cream that contains retinol. Retinol helps to brighten up those horrible dark under eye circles which takes years off of your age to begin with. It also works to strengthen and build up the thin, tender skin on the under eye area. As far as moisturizers go, the retinol helps build up your collagen. It’s a win-win.
Cut Down On Sugar
Sugar is a food that has been proven to have a negative effect on collagen. Consuming it from time to time is ok but it’s important to keep away from it on a regular basis. Yes, it will be hard to cut sweets in the beginning but after some time you’ll get used to it and won’t even miss the sweets any more. Not buying it? Then think of it as a way to avoid diabetes.
Lift Some Weights
You don’t have to get buff but getting toned is a good way to keep your skin taught and firm so that it doesn’t sag and wrinkle. Eventually it will but for the better part of your life you can have smooth skin if you do some light reps three or more times per week.
Putting these anti-aging beauty tips for 30 year olds to use now will help make your 40s routine a little easier. You’ll find that it doesn’t take much time to do and it doesn’t have to make a hole in your pocket.
