Avocados and yogurt are two of the best foods on the planet.

Not only do they taste good but they contain lots of vitamins and minerals that are ideal for giving your body the moisture it needs to feel smooth.

Since your hair is a art of your body, applying an avocado and yogurt hair mask to your dry locks is a great way to bring your hair back to it’s healthier, shinier, softer days.

As is with any of the recipes that I share with you, you’ll find that this one is easy to make and very inexpensive.

My only recommendation is to make it fresh because it won’t sit in your fridge for more than a day or two.

Actually I do have one more recommendation and that is to snack on the mask after you’ve applied what you need on your hair.

Otherwise you’ll have to start all over again.

Avocado And Yogurt Hair Mask Recipe

Making an avocado and yogurt hair mask is very easy. All you need is:

  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 1 cup of yogurt
  • 2 tbsp quaility olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey

2 tbsp argan or coconut oil (for those times when you’re hair is in desperate need – but no snacking on argan oil unless it’s pure)

In a medium sized bowl mash up the avocado with a fork. When you get a smooth texture add in the yogurt, olive oil and honey and stir well.

Next, you’re going to apply the mixture to your hair and massage it in thoroughly. Twist your hair into a knot and cover it with a shower cap- especially if you’re going to be moving around. Do something for 20 minutes and then rinse the mask out of your hair.

I like to this avocado and yogurt hair maskĀ once a month but since I don’t color my hair. However, my mom colors hers and she uses it twice a month to keep her hair soft and shiny.
