I love learning about brands that have their own distilleries, use natural ingredients and give back to the community. My most recent discovery is a Hawaiian brand called Ola who does all of these things and more.
Plumeria Description- ‘Plumeria is fresh and delicately sweet, mysterious and understated. Plumeria or Frangipani blossoms are commonly found throughout the islands and the tropical fragrance is well-known worldwide.’
Ola Skin Care Reviews
They sent me the body butter and body wash in the Plumeria fragrance to try out. In both cases the fragrance is very soft and oddly enough not floral at all which is great because I’m not a floral scent fan.

Ola Body Butter Review
I’ve tried a lot of body butters and some of them are so thick that they leave white streaks on the skin and take a couple of minutes to absorb. I don’t have the time or the patience to wait for a moisturizer of any kind to dry before I can finish getting ready so a slow dry is a deal breaker for me. The Ola body butter is thick and rich and it absorbs into the skin quickly and doesn’t leave any white streaks on my skin that look like a set of windshield wipers have run over me.
The Ola body butter makes my skin incredibly soft and doesn’t leave it feeling greasy at all. It also gives my skin a beautiful glow that lasts all day. Best of all it allows my skin to breathe because it’s considerably light for a body butter. I’m not a fan of overly thick butters that feel heavy- even in the winter.
The ingredients in the body butter are:
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice*, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Stearic Acid, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter*,
Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter*, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Distillate*, Cetearyl Glucoside, Cetearyl Alcohol,
Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Distillate*, Glycerin*, Bambusa Vulgarís (Bamboo) Leaf and Stem Distillate*,
Musa Sapientum (Banana) Distillate*, Ipomoea Batatas (Purple Sweet) Potato and Leaf Distillate*, Zingiber Officinalis (Ginger) Root Distillate*, Rhodophyta Alga (Red Ogo) Seaweed Distillate*, Cholorophyta Alga (Green Ogo) Seaweed Distillate*, Cyanophyta Alga (Blue Green) Seaweed Distillate*, Morinda Citrifolia (Noni) Fruit Distillate*, Picturus Albidus (Mamaki) Leaf Distillate*, Curcuma Longa (Olena) Root Distillate*, Colocascia Esculenta (Taro) Root and Leaf Distillate*, Sodium Lactate, Sodium Gluconate, Natural Fragrance Blend, Tocopherol, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Gluconolactone, Sodium Benzoate.
