Adovia skin care has become somewhat of a household name for me. So far I’ve used their Purifying Mud Mask (Amazing) and their Moisturizing Mineral Soap. This time around Tomoson has sent me their Mineral Eye Gel to review.

Company Description- ‘Powerful eye gel for eye puffiness, dark circles and wrinkles. Reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes with Dead Sea salts and minerals, Vitamins C and A and Retinol’.

Adovia Mineral Eye Gel Review

The Adovia Mineral Eye Gel is very thick so it’s important to know that you should use a little bit at a time. The first time that I applied it I completely disregarded the fact that it’s a gel and slathered it on only to find that 1- it was totally unnecessary and 2- it doesn’t feel to great if it gets into your eyes. Please learn from my ‘Duh’ moment and use a touch at a time and apply more if necessary.

The gel is clear and absorbs into the skin in seconds so that you can get on with applying the rest of your face quickly. It’s also very easy to spread onto the skin with very, very little force which is important because the skin around the eyes is sensitive as it is.

Now for the results. If left untreated, my under eyes are black and puffy. It’s pretty embarrassing because I look like one of the members of the Adams family. The Adovia eye gel did help to reduce the puff completely which is always a big help. As far as the dark circles go, it got rid of most of it but not all of it. Once I started using it at night, the results are much better but I don’t like to sleep with anything on my skin so I don’t use it twice a day like I should. I guess that the people at Adovia find that once a day is enough for most people anyway because on the instructions it simply says to use daily.

Now for the ingredients:

Deminerlized water (aqua), sepigel 305 (polyacrylamide & laureth- 7 $ c 13-14 isoparaffin), sweet almond (prunus amugdalus dulcis) oil, propylene glycol, jojoba (buxus chinensis) oil, polysorbate 20, chamomile (anthemis nobilis) extract, panthenol, carrot (daucus carota sativa) oil, olive (olea europaea) oil, grape (vitis vinifera) seed oil, rose hip oil, methylparaben, aloe barbadensis gel, dead sea salt, propylparaben, fragrance (supplement), tocopheryl acetate, retinyl palmitate.

A few more good reasons to try the Adovia eye gel:

  • The Adovia Mineral Eye Gel is good for all skin types
  • It’s cruelty free
  • It’s made with all natural ingredients
  • It doesn’t smell like anything at all

Unfortunately, while I do like the Adovia Mineral Eye Gel I would probably opt for something a little bit stronger. However, this isn’t the only thing holding me back from purchasing it in the future. If you take a good look at the ingredients, you’ll notice that it contains propylparaben which is cancerous. Many companies are no longer using it and I’m surprised that Advia is using it because their other products are so amazing.

The Adovial Mineral Eye Gel is sold on amazon for $29.00 for 1oz. You can check them out on http://www.amazon.com/Adovia-Eye-Cream-Puffiness-Appearance/dp/B00KQBR9FM/ref=sr_1_1?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1405345491&sr=1-1&keywords=adovia+mineral+eye+gel
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
