Glossybox has gotten into the holiday spirit and launched their Fourth Of July box to celebrate. If you’ve never heard of Glossybox before, then listen up because it’s a great way to spoil yourself. Glossybox is a monthly subscription program where they send you five full and sample sized beauty products. This way you spend a small amount of money to experience a lot of different products and find some that you love. I’ve gotten many boxes and have never frowned at the samples that they sent although some months are better than others.
Normally the box that contains the beauty samples is a pretty pink with brown embellishment but this time around the lid has the white and blue star pattern while the bottom of the box is red and white stripes. I love it. Now let’s see what they sent in this months box.
Glossybox Fourth Of July Review
SttangeBeautiful- Colorbloc Polish
Company Description- ‘Exclusively designed for Glossybox, this patriotically inspired Strangebeautiful Colorbloc enables you to color your nails on the go effortlessly- outstanding for travel, airline friendly and splendid to hold. It is comprised of two saturated colors and housed in a compact design’. Both are cream based’.
This duo polish is a great red and blue color combo ideas to create 4th of July nail art. The red is a vibrant true red while the blue is a gorgeous deep midnight color.
RUSK- Texture Dry Finishing Spray
Company Description- ‘This talc-free dry styling spray adds texture, shape and grip for an instant boost on hot summer nights, while maintaing hair’s natural movement. Best of all? No white flakes or chalky residue’.
I don’t use hairspray so I won’t be giving this product a go but I’m sure that I can find a friend or ten who will want it.
Ayres- Patagonia Body Butter
Company Description- ‘Tackle skin’s dry patches with an all-natural body formula enriched with herbal extracts and vitamins. This fragrant fusion of jasmine, rosemary, lavender, bergamont and fir essential oils harkens to Patagonia’s contrasting landscapes’.
This is a thicker moisturizer that takes a few seconds to absorb into the skin. It makes the skin feel incredibly smooth and you don’t have to use a lot to see the results. Loving the soft citrus fragrance.
Camille Beckman- Platinum Gold Imperial Repair Hand Therapy
Company Description- ‘Promising your hands a dose of hydration, restoration and softening, this dye free, gluten free citrus scented cream includes botanicals like sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil and the brand’s signature herbal complex’.
I love the way this moisturizer smells. It has a nice consistency and absorbs into the skin very quickly and gives the skin a nice glow. Although my skin felt a lot smoother after using it, it also felt irritated and itchy so I had to wash it off. It’s really too bad because I do like it.
Sumita Beauty- Champagne Eye Shadow Pencil
Company Description- ‘The perfect finishing touch for day or night, this universally flattering golden shade offers a hint of shimmer to accent any eye color. Use as a highlight or apply to your entire eyelid without fear, as this silky pencil won’t smudge or smear-.
I’m in love with this eye shadow pencil. It soft, easy to blend and lasts. My only issue is that it described as a golden color and it’s more of a shimery bronze on my skin. Love it!
C Wonder Card
There’s an added bonus in this month’s glossybox and it’s a gift card that’s worth up to $500 usable on cwonder.com. Woot!
The nail polish duo, eye shadow pencil and Ayres moisturizer made this box a great one for me. Head to Glossybox (link is on the top right of the page) to learn about how you can get your very own beauty boxes in the mail every month.
