Essence Cosmetics is a brand that believes that your makeup should deliver style, confidence and fun at a reasonable price. Normally when I’m told reasonable I think under $15, but in this case it’s $0.99 to $4.99. What! They sent me a few products to share with you.
Essence Cosmetics Reviews
Essence Cosmetics Get Big Lashes Triple Black Mascara
I’m starting with the Big Lash mascara because it’s my favorite product out of the bunch. The brush on this mascara is huge and has thick bristles. It worked wonders on my lashes making them look fuller, longer and fatter. There was no clumping at all and the deep black color made my eyes stand out. I found that one coat was enough for me to get the bold eye look that I love. Two coats on the other hand give me that false lash look that I like for special occasions. This mascara is in my daily use drawer and I reach for it constantly.
Essence Cosmetics Lash Mania Reloaded Mascara
This mascara has star shaped bristles that work to separate the lashes. It definitely elongates the lashes but the difference between this mascara and the Get Big Lashes is that this one does not fatten up the lashes at all. I have thin lashes so I like some plumping action and I don’t get it here. It is a good mascara though and I use it mostly during the day when I want a more natural look.
Essence Cosmetics Stays No Matter What Eyepencil and Shadows
I’m generally not a fan of two in ones – especially when it comes to hair products. I do like this pencil and shadow combo though. It’s smooth enough that you can easily apply it over your lids and blend if you want to. There are seven shades available and the ones that I got are Whipped White Frosting and Gorgeous Grey. The colors deliver a lot of pigment and last all day so there’s no need to reapply. The company actually says that it lasts for 16 hours but I never wore it for more than eight at which point it still looked amazing. Last but not lease, I like that these liner shadows are waterproof because your face won’t run during the summer.
Essence Cosmetics Crystal Eyeliners
I’m a girl who likes her sparkle and one of my favorite ways to get it is with my eye liner. There are five colors available in this collection and the two that I got to try are Twinkly Starlight which is a silver and Gold Rush which is a gold (what else?). I found that the liners delivers a little bit of sparkle at a time which means that they are buildable and you can control how much sparkle you get. Since I like a lot of sparkle I have to use two to three applications. The effort is well worth it though because once it’s on it stays on.
Essence Cosmetics Sun Club All-In-One Bronzing Highlighter
Unfortunately I don’t get to see the sunlight as much as I would like so bronzer is a must for me. I use it all over my face but make sure to highlight my cheekbones specifically. The bronzer is more of a bronze pink color which would probably look better on someone with paler skin because it looked very blah on my skin. It does have a nice shimmer and a satin like feel so I don’t want to knock it but it’s not for me. One more reason that I wouln’t purchase it is because it smells like coconut and while I love that scent by the pool I don’t want it any other time.
Essence Cosmetics Metal Glam Eyeshadows
If you’re into glittery shadows then listen up! The colors that I got to try are Coffee To Glow (bronze), Frosted Apple (pink) and Jewel Up The Ocean. All of these colors are shimmery metallic colors that are easy to apply and blend but you have to use a fluffy brush to get the effect. Otherwise it’s going to be a pain to get the shadow under control. They are long lasting so you won’t have to worry about reapplying for a while.
Essence Cosmetics Long Lasting Lipstick
I love long lasting lipsticks and this one does not disappoint. They lasted though breakfast, coffee, a green juice and straight faded somewhere around lunch. The lipsticks feel moisturizing which is always a plus for my dry lips. The colors that I got to try are Dare To be Nude, Wear Berries and On The Catwalk.
I’m a fan of the Essence Cosmetics line and would purchase most of their products in the future. My favorites are the Get Big Lashes mascara and the Stays No Matter What liner. My least favorite are the shadows and I won’t be using them again because they’re not to my liking because I prefer more natural looking shadows.
All of these products are brand new to the Essence Cosmetics line. You can pick up these and their other products at Walgreens.
