Pure & Essential Minerals Dead Sea Mud Mask Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

It seems that I’m having a major mud mask fetish right now because I can’t get enough of them for the moment. Why mud? Because the results are amazing. Mud has been used for centuries to brighten and tighten the skin and even with all of the newer masks making waves it is still very popular. Today’s mud is courtesy of a brand called Pure And Essential Minerals who sells their products on Amazon and were nice enough to send me a jar to try out.

Normally, i would write the company description here but they had a lot to say about what the Pure And Essential Minerals Dead Sea Mud Mask could do so I decided to share them all with you:

  • Deep cleansing Dead Sea mud draws out impurities, toxins and excess oils leaving your skin fresh and clean.
  • Fine grains act as an exfoliate, removing dead skin cells for a rejuvenating glow.
  • Tightens the pores for an anti-aging effect.
  • Moisturizes and hydrates your skin, helping to reduce wrinkles.
  • Improves blood circulation and initiates natural skin regeneration, adding an all-day radiance to your skin.
  • Effective relief for skin disorders, including acne, eczema and psoriasis.

Pure And Essential Minerals Dead Sea Mud Mask Review

The mud has a thick jelly like consistency which makes it very easy to scoop out of the jar and apply to the skin. The instructions say that it should be left on for 5 to 10 minutes and somewhere around 8 minutes I noticed that it’s almost completely dry but not hard. It felt very comfortable and I was able to walk around and do a few things without worrying that it would all slip off of my face.

As far as fragrance goes, I was surprised by how strong the eucalyptus scent was when I first applied the mask. I’m not sure if it’s this ingredient that did it, but something in the mask made my skin tingle but in a good way. Although the fragrance lasted until I rinsed the mud, it didn’t bother me at all because I happen to love this scent and actually surround myself with it when I get sick or want to relax.

This is all nice and well but what about the results? Once I washed off the mud and patted my skin dry I immediately noticed that my pores felt tighter. A few minutes after my skin had completely dried I realized that my skin felt incredibly smooth and refreshed. One of the things that the company promised was that the mud helped to exfoliate the skin and I certainly saw this in the way my skin felt.

The only let down that I noticed was that while my skin looked better, I was missing the radiance that they mentioned. Normally, it would bother me that my skin didn’t glow after using a mask but my skin felt so smooth and felt so refreshed that I was ok with it this time around. Besides, I have serums and moisturizers for that.

Now for the ingredients: ‘All Natural and Organic ingredients include: Pure Dead Sea Mud, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Aloe Vera Juice, Organic Vegetable Glycerin, Organic Jojoba Oil, Hickory Bark Extract, Organic Calendula Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Filtered Water, Xanthan Gum’

A few other reasons to love the Pure And Essential Minerals Dead Sea Mud Mask:

  • it’s certified vegan
  • it’s made with organic ingredients
  • they don’t test on animals
  • FDA approved
  • 100% natural skin care treatment
  • they don’t use any harsh chemicals or artificial additives
  • the mud mask can be used on the face and the body

I like the Pure And Essential Minerals Dead Sea Mud Mask and would recommend it to other people. It can be purchased on Amazon for $29.44.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Hummm. Sunflower oil in the mask, so close to the top of ingredients? That’s strange. I think I might not like this b/c of the Eucalyptus Oil. I’m not really a fan of that fragrance. Too bad it didn’t deliver on the “glowing” properties.

Aside from it not giving you the radiance, it sounds like it worked well for you.

Sounds like a great mask, even if it didn’t make your skin glowy. I like masks that calm and soothe.

I have become a masque junkie! I have an ELF foundation brush that is perfect for applying them – no more messy fingers, and minimal waste. I am not a fan of eucalyptus, so I’ll probably skip this one, but otherwise, mud masks FTW!
