DS Laboratories Nia Helio Hydrating Review

22 May

Hot on the heel of my DS Laboratories Radia Hair Products Reviews I got the Nia Helio Hydrating to try out. The difference is that the Radia line is meant for those who want to remove chemical buildup from their hair and the Nia is more about hydrating the hair.

Company Description- ‘Advanced cosmeceuticals developed through 10 years of clinical research, design, and testing — treat dull, frizzy, colorless hair more aggressively and effectively than any other shampoo or conditioner before’.

DS Laboratories Nia Review

The Nia shampoo builds into a good lather, not very thick but that’s ok because a thick lather does not mean than the product works any better than another. It washes out easily and doesn’t leave behind any residue at all. I followed it up with the conditioner which is on the thicker side and feels soft and nourishing.

After using the Nia hair products twice a week for three weeks I found that my hair had a beautiful shine and felt very soft. Since the weather has warmed up and my keratin diminished I’m also happy to see that the frizz has reduced drastically as well. Finally my strands were also strengthened and I had few split ends to deal with.

A few other things that you should know about Nia are:

  • It preserves color and improves radiance in both color treated and untreated hair.
  • The ingredients used to make Nia reverse the damage done to stressed out hair, rebuild and revitalize hair strands and shield them against further assault from ultraviolet radiation and environmental pollutants.
  • Compound work to reseal the hair shaft, retain cortical moisture and strengthen hair from scalp to tip.
  • New technology in Nia is proven scientifically to reverse damage, to restore the healthy look and feel of hair and to make it better than ever.
  • DS Laboratories does not test on animals.
  • 5% of profit from Nia is donated to the Natural Resources Defense Coucil.
Ingredients include:

  • hydrolyzed phyto-proteins and amphoteric amino acids to repair damage and improve fiber strength
  • aggressive antioxidants to shield hair against ultraviolet radiation and neutralize oxidative radicals, hygroscopic sericin and plant-based amino acids to moisturize the cortex and reseal the cuticle
  • cationic phospholipid to boost electrostatic affinity between molecules, extracts to repel environmental odors and inhibit photo-degradation, and agents with antimicrobial properties and immunomodulatory effects

I’m already a fan of DS Laboratories Nia hair products and would recommend Nia to others. Learn more on http://dslaboratories.com/
