One of my favorite memories of a trip to Israel that I took as a teen is when my uncle took us to the Dead Sea. We wanted privacy so we went to a place where there were no tourists. Unfortunately the car got stuck in the mud and a construction vehicle had to pull us out. The whole process of getting out took a while and the situation was worsened by the hot sun. It didn’t bother me at all however, because I was sitting in front of the sea with a mud mask on my face that when removed made my skin glow like it had never glowed before. Fortunately companies such as Adovia make products that I can use without traveling and in the privacy of my own home.

Company Description- This mud Mask is made from a formula comprised of mud extracted from the Dead Sea, Vitamin C and Aloe Vera, the mask works to extract oil and other debris from the skin – leaving behind glowing, healthy skin. As the mask dries, it gently pulls out toxins and impurities that can contribute to clog pores that can make the skin appear aged’.

Adovia Purifying Mud Mask Review

The Adovia mud mask is made for all skin types but especially for people who have acne. Keeping this in mind and wanting to see just how well it works on two skin types I got a friend to try it with me. We each used the mask a couple of times.

My friend and I both washed our faces before applying the mud. We layered a thick amount onto our skin and let it sit for 15 minutes. After about 10 minutes the mud was mostly dry and started thinning out. A tingly feeling started spreading over our faces (one that I’m not a fan of but she loves). By the end the mask was still a little wet and a whole lot thinner. It actually looked like we forgot to put mud on certain areas.

Once it was time to remove the Adovia Purifying Mud Mask we found that it was very easy to wash it off with lukewarm water. It was only after we patted out faces dry that we both realized how incredible our skin looked. As I mentioned earlier, I have normal skin and I didn’t get any sort of bad reaction to the mud. In face I had a gorgeous glow that I normally only get when I do an entire at home spa treatment. My pores felt taut and my skin felt like silk.

My friend, Gaby, does have acne so I consider her to be the true judge of whether or not the mud mask works in this case. Gaby loved it! Her skin also had a beautiful glow not because she had so much oil on her skin but because it looked healthy. Any redness that she may have experienced had decreased drastically and her skin felt great.

Besides phenomenal results, a few more reasons that we both love the Adovia mud mask are:

  • It works fast.
  • It contains Dead Sea mud mud infuses the skin with minerals while firming and improving skin elasticity.
  • It’s made with some great ingredients in addition to the mud which
  • It can work as an emergency spot-treatment for acne, pimples and blemishes.
  • It doesn’t really smell like anything.
  • If the kids don’t realize what you’re up to it’s a lot of fun to apply the mask and jump in front of them scaring the daylights out of them!

Now for the ingredients that make this mask work its magic:

Demineralised Water & Dead Sea Water, Dead Sea Mud, Stearic Acid, Cetryl Alcohol, Beeswax, Sorbitan Tristearate, Propylene Glycol & Chamomile (Anthemis Nobilis) Extract & Algae Extract & Papaya (Carica Papaya) Extract & Aloe Vera (Barbadensis) Gel, Sunflower (Helianthus Annuus) Seed Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Mandarin Orange (Citrus Nobilis) Oil, Jojoba (Buxus Chinensis) Oil, Olive (Olea Europaea) Oil, Triethanolamine, Evening Primrose (Oenothera Biennis) Oil, Peach (Prunus Persica) Kernel Oil, Benzoic Acid, Chlorphenesin, Dehydroacetic Acid, Benzalkonium Chloride, Dead Sea Salt, Aloe Barbadensis Gel, Chamomile (Anthemis Nobilis) Extract, Retinyl Palmitate, Exotic Verbena (Litsea Citrata) Oil, Ginseng (Panax Ginseng) Extract, Soybean (Glycine Soja) Extract, Ascorbic Acid.

I would definitely use the Adovia Purifying Mud Mask  again and would recommend it to others. You can purchase or learn more about It Adovia Spa on amazon

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

I have oily, acne-prone skin, and I’m loving mud masques. I just put one on yesterday from Hard Night Good Morning, and I love that tightening feeling when it dries! My husband loves it, too, because I can’t talk when the masque is hard! lol

I hadn’t heard of this brand. I don’t really use mud masks though, I’m more of a sheet mask fan.

I have this mask as well and I’m working on my post. I absolutely loved how my face felt after using it – but the next day it sent my skin in an eczema freak out. It just dried me out so much after I had a flare up. I wish it worked for me because I loved how my face felt directly after and it would be a fav of mine.
