Orlane Absolute Skin Recovery Care Eye Contour Review

27 Feb

orlaneA while ago I mentioned that I went to a Beauty Press event in which I received a slew of skin care products to review. One of these products is an under eye serum by Orlane called Absolute Skin Recovery Care Eye Contour which is made in France. I’ve never tried anything by Orlane before but I do recognize the blue shopping bag.

Company Description- A treatment especially designed to provide true biological rest for the fragile skin around the eyes. This ultra-fine gel-cream with White Lily extracts decongests, smoothes and eliminates temporary puffiness and dark circles.

Orlane Absolute Skin Recovery Care Eye Contour Review

The Orlane eye cream is on the thinner side which makes it easy to spread around the under eye area without applying any sort of pressure at all. Now you may be saying to yourself that you shouldn’t apply any pressure at all to that are because the skin is so delicate and you’re right but in some cases using your pinky finger just isn’t enough. You have to dab and that puts stress on the skin and nerves. The Orlande under eye cream is so thin in texture that it almost melts over the skin.

My only issue with the eye cream is that it takes about ten minutes to for it to absorb. If I don’t have somewhere to go this amount of drying time is ok. But on the days that I have to go to work I don’t want to run around with a shiny patch under my eyes. I also use a lot of concealer and it’s not easy to wait for the eye cream to dry before applying it.

The reason that I continued using the Orlane Absolute Skin Recovery Care Eye Contour is the results. More important than application or absorption is the fact that after one week of use I found myself reaching for my eye concealer less frequently. My eyes appeared to be brighter, healthier and more youthful. Eventually I had to move to another product to review and I stopped using this one. After about four days my dark circles were back so I can definitely say that the Orlane eye cream did a great job while I used it.

One more reason that I like this brand is that Orlane stopped testing on animals long before it was required to do so by the European legislation. Gotta love a brand with a heart!

The Orlane Absolute Skin Recovery Care Eye Contour costs $125 for 0.5oz. You can learn more about it at http://www.orlane.com/absolute-skin-recovery-care-eye-contour-anti-fatigue.html

Have you tried any Orlane products? Thoughts?

Disclaimer- I got a sample of the product to review. However, my review is honest and portrays how I feel about the product.

I like that they don’t test on animals. It does seem like an expensive range though.
