TreSkin Rx Review of the 2 Week Trial Kit

4 Feb

treskinrx_review

TreSkin RX contacted me a while ago and asked me to review some of their products. There were a few factors that made me interested in giving them a try. First, they are a skin care company that uses the aloe vera plant as a base ingredient. Aloe has tremendous healing powers and is good for people with dry skin as well as those who have acne. The second thing that caught my eye is that on their site they said that they like to educate customers on ‘ the truth behind what makes skincare effective and therapeutic, as well as promoting and supporting good nutritional habits’. We all know that our eating habits affect our skin but this is the first time that I ever heard a skin care company mention anything at all about it. Once I saw this I was really excited to see if it works and they sent me a 2 week trial kit to review.

TreSkin RX Triple Defense Day Moisturizer with SPF 15

Company Description- TreSkinRX’s Triple Defense Day Moisturizer (with SPF 15) is a light, non-greasy formula which moisturizes and conditions to leave the skin extraordinarily soft and comfortable throughout the day. The added SPF 15 also helps shield the skin from harmful UVB and UVA rays.

The moisturizer is very thick. So thick in fact that when I turned the jar upside down and gave it a few good shakes nothing fell out of the jar. Once I scooped the moisturizer out of the jar I found that although it feels thick it’s very easy to spread onto the skin. It’s a great product to use during the winter because it’s a little on the heavy side and really works to protect the skin from the wind and cold. I wouldn’t use the TreSkin RX moisturizer in the warmer months however because it’s simply too heavy and would give me a sweaty kind of glow. Otherwise I was happy with it.

TreSkin RX Purifying Cleanser Review

Company Description- TreSkinRX’s Purifying Cleanser is designed to unclog pores and remove impurities. The unique formulation of ingredients works to cleanse the skin while leaving it feeling soft, silky and refreshed. A noticeable improvement in the suppleness of the skin will be achieved after the very first use.

The TreSkin RX cleanser is a gel that you rub into a foam that is easy to apply and rinse. It’s very gentle and doesn’t leave behind any residue. I started my mornings with it and found that my skin felt refreshed and smooth after using it. Best of all, it has a very soothing lavender scent.

TreSkin RX Night Repair Moisturizer Review

Company Description- ‘TreSkinRX’s Night Repair Moisturizer is a nourishing, humectant-enriched cream designed to replenish the loss of moisture within the skin’s tissues. The strong humectants and masking agents, such as collagen, work overnight to preserve and restore the skin’s natural moisture level and revive the skin’s tension and firmness’.

The Night Repair Moisturizer is a much lighter moisturizer than the Defense Day Moisturizer although it is still a little on the heavy side. It absorbs quickly without leaving behind any residue and it allowed my skin to breathe. I usually skip the night cream in my routine however I did use it in this case because by evening I felt that my skin could use some extra support.

TreSkin RX Daily Exfoliant Review

Company DescriptionAloe-Based EX3 Daily Renewing Exfoliant is TreSkinRX’s most celebrated product. This patented state of the art exfoliant combines aloe vera, L-ascorbic acid beads (vitamin C) and glycolic acid into one unique formula that aids in the removal of dead skin cells while activating the production of collagen – the skin’s natural rejuvenation process. The result is a marked reduction of fine lines and wrinkles along with improved texture and skin clarity. As an added benefit, the tiny vitamin C beads function as biological cofactors and antioxidants, protecting the skin from damage caused by the environment.

I love trying out new exfoliates and this one was not a letdown. The TreSkin RX exfoliant is very gentle but effective. It worked well to remove the dead skin cells leaving me with a healthier looking skin. Although it’s safe to use daily I preferred to use it twice a week because my skin doesn’t need that much exfoliating.

All in all I’m happy with the experience that I’ve had with TreSkin RX. My only complaint is that I always prefer to use a skin care product for eight weeks in order to get an idea of the full benefits. Based on the time that I did use it however, I would use it again because my skin looked good and felt protected in this blustery winter weather.

The TreSkin Rx products can be used by people with all kinds of skin problems including those who have very sensitive skin as well as those with acne. You can check them out at http://www.treskinrx.com/ and purchase them at http://my.treskinrx.com/jessesteffan

Great review! I’m going to look into this. I’ve been reading great things about Aloe in skincare lately too. The exfoliant sounds amazing. My skin loves Vitamin C and Glycolic Acid, so I’m pretty sure it would be a winner! :)

The night cream sounds like something worth trying. I’ve never used night cream before, but as I’m getting older, I’ve been reconsidering this.

You did an excellent job of reviewing the product. I agree that it would have been beneficial to have been able to use it longer so it could have given you a better idea as to its value for your skin.
