Stila Color Me Glossy Review

stila color me glossy

As if I don’t have enough lipsticks and glosses I just had to get the Stila Color Me Glossy lip glaze set. You really can’t blame me for getting it because the are 9 glazes in the set and I only paid $28 for them so it’s as if they’re a little over $3 each! Since I didn’t get a chance to try any of the Stila glosses out in the past I figured that even if I didn’t like them I could still pass them off to my sister which is what this set is actually meant for- sharing.

Company Description- ‘Stila’s legendary Lip Glaze delivers a glossy shine on lips with delicate, matching flavors and scents. These iconic click pens are perfectly portable for a glistening pout wherever you go’.

 Stila Color Me Glossy Review

The Stila Color Me Glossy set includes three main palettes: reds, pinks and neutrals which I like because it covers all the bases. Not only do you get a variety of colors in this set but there is a range of finishes as well. Some of the glosses are sheer while others are highly pigmented. Some have a smooth glossy finish while others are sparkly. Check out these swatches to see what I mean:

The darker colors pack a heavy dose of pigment while the lighter ones may need an extra coat so be prepared to layer your gloss . Mixing colors is also a lot of fun. Don’t get me wrong- all of the colors are pretty on their own but once you start mixing them there are so many more options available to you (I totally blame OCC lip tars for this obsession I’ve developed).

In order to use the glosses you have to remove a stopper from the tip and then twist the top to make the color flow down to the applicator tip. Stila provided a brush tip which allows you to apply the gloss smoothly and efficiently. I have to admit that the brush was a brilliant idea and I love how easy it is to get a clean line with it- even without liner.

The glosses are all scented. While some of them smell like candy, others smell like cough syrup (huh?). Regardless of how they smell however, the Stila Color Me Glossy glosses are not sticky at all and are in fact very comfortable to wear. They actually feel moisturizing which is great for my dry lips.

I love my Stila Color Me Glossy glosses and have no regrets whatsoever in purchasing them. As for sharing I guess my sister may get her hands on one or two but that’s it!

Have you tried any Stila glosses? What’s your favorite color?

Thank you for sharing! It’s funny that you mentioned mixing colors, because I recently got into that myself; I’m already seeing Kaleidoscope over Cranberry :D

Some of those glosses are so pretty. I haven’t tried any of the Stila Lip Glazes, yet. I love their eyeshadows and their Smudge Sticks are a great fave of mine.
