I’ve recently been educated by a company called Wholly Hemp. As it turns out, Hemp has a higher concentration of Essential Fatty Acids than any other plant, contains all 20 vital amino acids, and is rich in Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, C, D, & E. In addition to this, hemp is supposed to be effective for people who have sensitive skin, including those who suffer from acne, eczema, psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. In my case, I’ve recently had chalkboard skin that you can draw white lines on. I can’t wait until the winter is over!
Company Description- ‘Made in small batches with only the finest natural ingredients, Wholly Hemp will moisturize and soothe even the most sensitive skin. Hemp seed oil provides deep and long-lasting hydration, making your skin feel soft, smooth, and rejuvenated for hours on end’.
Wholly Hemp Reviews
The folks over at Wholly Hemp were kind enough to send me three items to review: the Lavender Moisturizing Cream, the Peppermint Lip Balm and the Raw Soothing Soap.
Wholly Hemp Lavender Moisturizing Cream Review
By far, the moisturizing cream is my favorite product of the group. First of all, it’s packed in a glass jar- not plastic, glass! I don’t care that the packaging is simply a gold lid and a paper bag style label because I love that a company spent the extra though and money on a glass jar. I do understand that many companies are removing chemicals from their plastic containers but with glass you don’t even have to worry about it. Beautiful!
The moisturizer is thick so you have to scoop it out of the jar. It’s easy to apply however and smoothes over the skin nicely. It does take a few minutes to get absorbed into the skin however and does make your skin so shiny that you can see it from clear across the room. Once it is absorbed however, it feels incredible. It’s moisturizing, hydrating and long lasting. After two days of use my dry, itchy skin felt smooth.
The Wholly Hemp moisturizer that I got is infused with lavender so it’s very soothing. And to take me to another state of ease is the ingredients list which simply consists of shea butter, hemp seed oil, sunflower oil, lavender oil and rosemary seed extract.
There’s no doubt in my mind that I will be a longtime customer of this moisturizer – especially if the winters continue to be this cold, windy and dry.
Wholly Hemp Peppermint Lip Balm Review
The lip balm packs a heavy dose of peppermint which is a nice wakeup call due to the fact that it gets applied right under the nose. For me it’s a bit spicy but not the burning kind- just a little bit of a surprise. After about five minutes however, the fragrance fades drastically so I don’t mind it too much.
The Wholly Hemp lip balm is also very moisturizing and feels light on the lips. It’s not sticky at all and I can have a conversation without feeling like I’m bench pressing my lips. It actually feels more like a good gloss than anything else.
The lip balm is also made with some great natural ingredients. The list includes coconut oil, beeswax, hemp seed oil, sunflower seed oil, vitamin E, peppermint oil and rosemary extract. I’m surprised that I can’t smell the rosemary.
Wholly Hemp Soothing Raw Soothing Soap Review
Although they have fifteen different scents to choose from I got the Raw one which doesn’t smell much like anything. The soap made a little lather and washed off easily leaving my skin clean and refreshed. There’s just one problem though the soap melts away in the shower fast. I’m talking three showers and I had to reach for another bar. As I mentioned earlier, I was sent this product to review so I didn’t have to pay for it. If I did shell out $5 for it however, I would feel a little let down. The only way that I can think of to get around this is to store the soap in a dry place when you’re not using it.
Two out of three is pretty good. I would definitely use the moisturizer and the lip balm again- more so in the winter then the summer. Perhaps you will have a better experience with the soap. If you would like to check out the products for yourself just head to https://whollyhemp.com/
Disclaimer- I got a sample of the product to review. However, my review is honest and portrays how I feel about the product.
