Celle Skincare Is Amazing!!!

24 Dec

celle_skincare_reviewI’m not a fan of the winter weather. The snow makes it hard to get around, the cold makes me want to stay indoors all the time and my skin dries out completely. The beautiful soft skin that I work so hard to maintain turns against me and it;s all I can do to not stick my face into a post of butter. A short while ago I mentioned that I went to a Beauty Press event where I was given a few products to review. One of these products is the Celle skin treatment which is a moisturizer that can be used as a day and a night cream. Leave it to science to engineer a product that raises the standards of skincare.

Company DescriptionCelle’s revolutionary skin treatment challenges the signs of ageing. Its chemical-free formula promotes healthier skin past the epidermis and dermis, (outer and inner layers of the skin) where most creams act only on these first two layers.. Unlike SPF based creams, Celle harnesses the power of Resveratrol, Edelweiss progenitor cells, and other active ingredients to protect and repair damaged skin both before and after UV and environmental exposure. The Celle Skin Treatment leaves your skin revitalized and rejuvenated while producing dramatic improvements in tone, texture and elasticity to create a younger, healthier appearance in just 21 to 30 days’.

How the Celle Skin Treatment benefits your skin

  • Acts directly on the cells by supporting DNA repair.
  • Diminishes the appearance of lines, wrinkles and pores
  • Provides intensive protection against environmental causes of skin ageing.
  • Proven to be very effective in the prevention of Acne
  • Lightens and evens out skin tone
  • Recommended for face, neck and chest area
The Celle skin treatment moisturizer has a very, very rich texture. Instinctively I thought that because it looks so thick that it would leave streaks and would take a while to absorb. Surprisingly, it absorbed in seconds without streaking or leaving behind any residue. It also has a incredibly light fragrance which is great for those of us who prefer little to no fragrance or have sensitivity to perfumes.

As far as real results go, forget 30 days, I saw improvement after the very first use of the Celle skin treatment moisturizer.  My skin has never looked healthier or better in my life. Although I used it only in the mornings, it kept my skin moisturized well throughout the day, into the night and even to the next morning. By the end of my first week I looked like I had hit the spa for a facial every day. At three weeks, my face needed a lot less care and my focus was completely on how to get my body as soft as my face. I played with the idea of using the Celle moisturizer on my hands and legs but I would run out of it fairly quickly so my inner Smeagol didn’t want to see its precious finish.

One of the things that the people at Celle promise is that the skin treatment will provide intensive protection against environmental causes of aging skin. I have no doubt that the reason they can promise this is because the cream is so thick. In fact I would advise using it only during the winter and skipping it during the spring and summer because it can feel very heavy (I’m going to presume you don’t want to sweat it out). Like I mentioned before however, it is ideal for the winter and it won’t weigh you down.

Now for some ingredients:

  • Resveratrol- An advanced polyphenol shown by scientific studies to improve the body’s ability to repair damaged DNA caused by exposure to the sun, the ageing process, and toxins in our environment. Resveratrol is a uniquely potent antioxidant capable of neutralising the free radicals that age skin, improve blood flow to the skin and diminish the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Celle is enriched with this compound in a formulation that has been uniquely solubilised at a high concentration for optimal efficacy.
  • Hexapeptides- Known as ‘Botox in a jar’, are proteins that mimic the effect of Botox, but instead of killing the nerve, they merely interrupt the signals from the nerve to the muscle, without the damaging effect. As a result, the skin texture is restored, tightness is improved and wrinkles are smoothed.
  • Active Edelweiss Progenitor Cells- In 2009, scientists in Switzerland succeeded in cloning the Swiss national plant, the Mountain Edelweiss. Used in extremely costly treatments in the 1950s this formerly endangered plant contains collagen growth stimulators, which can give your skin a youthful and firm complexion. Months of collaboration and technical development lead to the augmentation of the Celle product range with live, bioactive Edelweiss cells.
  • Pearl Extract- A key ingredient in costly Asian skin treatments for centuries, contains a unique blend of amino acids, which are the basic building blocks of cells and collagen. With dozens of minerals, including calcium, magnesium and zinc, Pearl Extract gives the skin a glowing and youthful appearance.
  • Pomegranate, Apple Extract, CoQ10- Celle has perfected the ratio of fruit extracts such as Pomegranate and Apple Extract levels combined with CoQ10, also known as Ubiquinone. The result is a Skin Collection that helps to repair damage caused by UV exposure. Unlike SPF based creams that only block the sun, the Celle formula works within the cell’s natural repair mechanism to create far longer lasting and more profound improvements.
  • Vitamin C and Vitamin E Complex- Vitamin C helps to plump up thinning skin by increasing the production of new collagen, while Vitamin E possesses anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which help to protect cells from free radical damage and improve the skin’s moisture retention and radiance.

My only complaint about Celle skincare is the price tag. A 1.7 fl oz jar of this incredible product goes for $350.00. While that’s steep, I can wrap my mind (and my wallet) around it by breaking it down into months. There is enough product in the jar to last a good four to five months so it would come out to about $75 per month. Totally worth the results. I got my Celle moisturizer at an event but you can get yours at http://www.celleskincare.com/

Disclaimer- I got a sample of the product to review. However, my review is honest and portrays how I feel about the product. I did not in any way write a good review because I was given the product for free.

I think this is something I would love to try… but because of its price I probably won´t be purchasing it :(

It’s definitely steep but it lasts a long time. I kind of figure that I can hold off on the botox for another few years.

I think for a product that lasts for 4-5 months, the cost can be somehow affordable for many . Though I prefer to try a sample before buying the full sized product.

A sample would be a great idea. Not sure if they offer them though.

I was excited until I hit the price. Stick a pin in my balloon. Tragically, my budget can’t stretch that far, no matter how hard I pull it. *tear* That cream sure does sound fabulous, tho. :)

It seems like I’m the only crazy one who would buy this and find a way to make it seem ok. I just haven’t found another moisturizer that does what this one did for me.

While it sounds like a great product, I really wish companies would STOP using jar packages for anti-aging skincare products. They need an airless pump. When things come in a jar like this, I won’t buy them.

I would be interested in trying this, but my skin is so finicky, $75 would be a lot to shell out if my skin rejected it. Sounds like a great product though!

    • Aleya December 25, 2013 at 1:57 pm #

At $75 you have a lot of good options out there.

Sounds like a promising product but $350 is a bit too much. I can buy a new Rebecca Minkoff bag w/ that! LOL

It’s actually a pretty big jar and because you don’t have to use so much it really lasts.

    • Aleya December 25, 2013 at 1:59 pm #

I allow myself two splurges per year.

  11. Farryn December 25, 2013 at 5:29 am #

Wow, this is super expensive – I don’t know if I would spend that much on such a small quantity of product.

Wow, a moisturizer with cells from a cloned edelweiss sounds really fancy, I’m guessing that’s why it’s so expensive (among all things).
