PureMoist Lipstick Review
I received three colors to review: Annette, Brooke and Lily.
Annette is a sheer berry color. It was the most surprising of the colors for me because I normally wouldn’t dare apply a red lipstick without liner. Red shades always bleed on me, giving me a messy look and I need the extra support. In this case it wasn’t necessary; however I used liner anyway just because it looks more polished.
Annette felt more matte than the other two colors but it still didn’t dry out my lips. I was able to enjoy a solid three hours of pure pigment even after eating and drinking. After that time, the color started to fade slightly, the way a lip stain would so that even though there was less pigment I still had a touch of color to hold me over until my next application.
Brooke is a beautiful sheer coral color that is perfect for summer. I have to admit that I used it very recently and we’re halfway into fall but it’s such a bright and playful color that I simply had to use it to lift my spirits for the day. It really did make me smile. Brooke is probably one of those shades that most people will be able to enjoy. My favorite thing about this color is that it lasts. I can go out for the night with it and if I don’t make an effort to wipe it away it will still be there in the morning.
No doubt about it, Lily is a color that anyone can use and look good. It’s a super sheer nude with a touch of peach and some shimmer. While all three colors can go from day to night, I feel that this one is the most versatile. Like Annette it lasts for a few hours but it doesn’t fade slowly on me- it just disappears suddenly. Lily felt like it contained the most moisture out of the three colors which works for me because it’s my go to natural lipstick color.
The ingredients used to make the lipsticks are very impressive. The list includes:
- The proven soothing properties of moringa oil moisturize.
- Orange peel wax, avocado and sunflower seed oils that give a luxurious, conditioned and quenched feeling to the lips.
- Vitamins A and C and coffee seed extract to infuse the delicate lip area with antioxidant protection.
- Pomegranate extract, blackberry fruit extract, green tea leaf extract, coffee seed extract and cranberry fruit extract for color.
I’m a huge Jane Iredale fan and will definitely use these as well as their other products in the future. The PureMoist lipsticks are vegan, gluten free and cruelty free. They are available in 24 shades. Check them out at https://janeiredale.com/us/en/mineral-makeup/lips/puremoist-lipstick.htm
