Artistry Skincare

2 Apr

The team over at Artistry was nice enough to send me a few products to review. I had read some reviews about them and wanted to see what all the hype was about. Artistry is a skincare line that was created by a husband and wife team over sixty years ago. Their goal is to use ingredients that provide superior skincare. There are three ingredients that play a major role in their products:

African Boabab Fruit- This fruit is rich in antioxidants and is proven to protect the skin’s vibrancy.

Lifesirt Mediterranean Botanical- A life-extending Mediterranean botanical extract that helps the skin resist the signs of aging.

Micro-X6 Peptide- Invented by the owners of Artistry Skincare, Micro-X6 Peptide contains six amino acids that increases the natural collagen activity and targets wrinkles for smoother looking skin.

Artistry Skincare Reviews

Artistry Creme Luxury Eye

The under eye cream by Artistry is by far my favorite product in the group. I found it to be highly moisturizing and after about four days of using it found that it made my eye area appear to be brighter and more youthful looking. If you’re a regular reader of Spontaneous Chick, you’ve probably seen a few reviews in which I mention dark under eye circles. This cream helped to reduce the coloring and decreased any signs of puffiness so that I looked well rested and more vibrant. If you only try one product from the line, this one should be it. I should mention however, that I did go on vacation and forgot to take it with me. Two days of not using it brought out the circles again so I always make sure to have it on hand now.

The cleanser gently and effectively cleans my skin. It has a medium consistency that is easy to spread over the skin and just as easily rinses away. I do have sensitive skin and found that the cleanser doesn’t irritate it at all. In fact, it’s so soothing that it almost feels like you’re washing your skin with moisturizer rather than a cleanser. The end result is that it leaves my face feeling clean and moisturized.

Artistry Essentials Hydrating Lotion SPF 15

The Artistry lotion has a soft floral fragrance that doesn’t last more than a couple of minutes which is a good thing if you’re like me and dislike perfumed skincare for the face. It has a medium consistency and absorbs into the skin at a very rapid pace. During the ten weeks that I used the Artistry moisturizer I found that my skin looked more hydrated, smoother and healthier.

One thing that I do want to point out about the moisturizer is that while it works well when it’s super cold out, it’s fantastic in the warmer climates. It’s not heavy so that your skin can breathe when it’s warm or humid out so that you actually feel comfortable. There are few things that irritate me more than an overly heavy moisturizer that makes me feel stuffy and sweaty. If I want to sweat it out I’ll go to the gym.

Artistry Essentials Hydrating Toner

I like to use the Artistry toner before I go to bed so that I can remove any traces of makeup, dirt and residue that may be left behind at the end of a long day. It does a great job of leaving my skin clean and refreshed while maintaining the moisture of my face. It can also be used in the morning but I’m usually running like a crazy person in the morning so I haven’t really made the time to use it then. If you do have the time though, I can only imagine that the benefits will be well worth the time.

The Artistry skincare line is definitely worth a try. They deliver what they promise and I did see a difference when I used their products. If you want to learn more about their products, just head to http://www.artistry.com/ to try them out. Be sure to check out their makeup as well. I’m going to be reviewing their glosses very soon.
