AquaVie Skincare Reviews

Protective Hand Cream

Company Description: ‘Hands are overexposed to the elements each and every day. They require very effective repair care and protection. This cream contains karité butter (or shea butter) and wheat germ oil that help moisturize and repair even the most worn out hands’.

Active ingredients include:

  • Wheat Germ Oil- One of the most efficient natural antioxidants.
  • Propolis extract- Brings healing and regenerative properties to the skin.
  • Allantoin- Helps reduce the aging of the skin. It soothes, moisturizes, regenerates and reduces the visibility of scars.
  • Argan Oil- Known for its anti-aging effect due to the great amount of antioxidants and its healing effect. Argan oil induces a rejuvenation in skin cells.

AquaVie Hand Cream Review- My skin has been super dry this winter because there’s absolutely no humidity in the air so I was very excited to see what this cream is capable of. The cream has a super thick consistency but is easy to spread and absorbs quickly. You know that I’m not into perfumes, but it does have a touch of a floral fragrance which doesn’t bother me at all. Like I said my skin has been excessively dry so I don’t know if it’s because of mother nature, but my hands were smooth for about half an hour before I had to reapply it. If I kept the regiment up they would stay smooth, if not they felt dry. I think that if I use this product during the spring or summer that I would love it because it is very light and it absorbs quickly.

AquaVie Moisturizing Body Cream

Company Description: ‘This body cream, with its delicate aroma, contains a cocktail of vegetable oils for moisturizing effects. It is enriched with extracts of Propolis and Mimosa tenuiflora known for their repairing, soothing and protective properties. Use after sun or UV exposure. Its ultra rich, non-greasy formula helps eliminate dry areas’.

Active ingredients include:

  • Wheat Germ Oil- Wheat germ oil contains an exceptionally high level of essential fatty acids that help with cell metabolism, as well as beta carotene and E vitamin.
  • Omega Plus- Essential fats formula, providing exceptionally well balanced omega-3 and omega-6 lipids plus mixed tocotrienols and tocopherols.
  • Argan Oil- Composed of 80% essential fatty oils (linoleic acid 50%, alpha linoleic acid 15%, oleic acid 11%, arachidonic acid 1%, gamma linoleic acid 3%) and contains large quantities of tocopherols (E vitamin) – over 3 times more than olive oil. Known for its anti-aging effect due to the great amount of antioxidants and its healing effect.
  • Shea Butter- Shea Butter is exceptionally rich in A, E, D and F vitamins, and its hydrating properties are quite outstanding. It can restore smoothness to the skin, hydrates deeply, protects from the elements and prevents the skin from drying.
  • Allantoin- Ingredient of the cell matrix, its concentration helps reduce the aging of the skin. It soothes, moisturizes, regenerates and reduces the visibility of scars.
  • Collagen- Collagen helps stop the signs of aging and has reaffirming and moisturizing properties.

AquaVie Moisturizing Body Cream Review- The body cream has a medium consistency so it’s not as thick as the hand cream. When I use a little bit of the product, it absorbs quickly, but when I use a lot of it (again my skin feels like that of an alligator’s these days) I get white streaks everywhere. It does however take a minute or two for the streaks to disappear so no biggie. The body cream has a longer lasting power than the hand cream so it has to be reapplied less frequently. Once in the morning and once at night does the trick. Again, it has a very light fragrance that isn’t too noticeable and it leaves my skin feeling smooth.

AquaVie Leg Lift

Company Description: ‘This penetrating gel contains a cocktail of plants renowned for their relaxing effects. Enriched with camphor and menthol, it provides an extraordinary sensation of freshness and of well-being, instantly reviving the feet and legs from any discomfort from long days spent on the feet’.

Active ingredients include:

  • Camphor- Camphor tree is from Chinaand is a powerful antiseptic with analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Menthol- Applied topically, has a soothing and cooling effect on skin irritations.
  • Horse Chesnut- Its seeds have been used for thousands of years to fix vein circulation trouble. Swollen legs, varicose veins, cellulite, haemorrhoids are all lessened with horse chestnut.
  • Chamomile- Chamomile is widely known for its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties.
  • Calendula- It has excellent anti-inflammatory propertiesand vulnerary properties (preventing tissue degeneration while arresting bleeding in wounds).
  • Vitamin E- Reduces the effects of sun exposure on the skin and preventing certain skin cancers. It also reduces the appearance of wrinkles, and, when applied topically, soothes dry or rough skin. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant that is essential for the maintenance of healthy skin.

AquaVie Leg Lift Review- I was truly excited to try out the leg lift because I stand on my feet a lot. I found that the cream instantly cooled my legs which was very soothing. Another thing that I couldn’t help but notice is the scent of the menthol. It reminds me of Vicks Vapor Rub which I can’t stand, but then again it’s one of the main ingredients and I can really feel it working. It’s also worth a try because after about half an hour, the fragrance starts to fade, but the cooling effects are still there. I like to use it an hour before I head to bed.

AquaVie Marine Body Peel

Company Description: ‘This exfoliator contains microspheres of apricot stones that help the cells breathe. It eliminates dead skin cells and restores your skin’s brightness and luminosity. Allows the skin to regain flexibility and sweetness and to resist the effects of the aging’.

Active ingredients include:

  • Apricot Powder- This is a “skin-friendly” natural exfoliant (face scrub), when finely and evenly ground as we do, and acts as a mild abrasive, gently exfoliating the skin without any scraping or damage.
  • Wheat Germ Oil- Wheat germ oil contains an exceptionally high level of essential fatty acids that help with cell metabolism, as well as beta carotene and E vitamin. It is one of the most efficient natural antioxidants.
  • Algaes Extracts- Algae has many benefits to use including hydration of the skin, stimulation the cell regeneration and soothing of the skin. Algae is anti-oxidizing and antiseptic, helping in lymphatic draining and toxin elimination. Contains over 400 oligo elements that our cells both need and crave.

AquaVie Marine Body Peel Review- The exfoliator has a thin consistency making it easy to spread. I found that that ground up apricots were pretty gentle at removing dead skin and didn’t feel scratchy at all. I used it on each body part for a few seconds (total time maybe two minutes) and found that it really helped to chase away dry, scaly, wintery skin and replace it with smooth, glowing skin. Definitely my favorite product on the line.

They use some great ingredients and are cruelty free which I’m loving more and more these days. The people at AquaVie sent me samples but you can purchase these products online at  http://www.aquavieskincare.com/
