Optical Illusion by China Glaze is a captivating sparkly turquoise color with hints of pink, lavender, orange and blue. Depending on the lighting in the room and whether I was outdoors or inside I was constantly surprised by how it shined and how the colors stood out. More than any of the other polishes that I’ve tried out lately, it’s this one that has a brilliant charm that brings out that 20 something energy in me (keep in mind that I’m no longer in my 20s although I’ve been celebrating my 24th birthday for so long that I can barely remember my real age).
Although it’s a glittery polish, it goes on smooth and easy. One coat is good if you want a little glitter over a base color but to get the true pow power of China Glaze’s Optical Illusion the full two coats is a must. Don’t forget that top coat though because it does tend to chip which isn’t so bad if you consider that it’s also very easy to remove. Don’t you hate those glitter polishes where you have to scrub your nails off to get them clean again?
Optical Illusion by China Glaze is definitely one of my top five must have polishes of the year because it’s fun to wear and I get tons of compliments on it.
