8 DermOrganic Reviews

DermOrganic is a company that was created with your safety in mind.  Basically, the line was made for professional cosmetologists who are in direct contact with chemicals all day long, but let’s face it so are we. As the end user our bodies absorb an insane amount of chemicals every day. Not you? Well, let’s see- shampoo, conditioner, soap, moisturizer, cosmetics, hair products…… And that’s just what you use to prep yourself to get out of the house. DermOrganics has decided that enough is enough and have come out with products made with ingredients that are synergistic to your hair and skin to replenish from the outside what your hair and skin need inside for health and vitality.

Company Description: “From the shampoo cleansers made from EFA lipids and amino acids, to conditioners blended with vegetable proteins, to treatments rich in natural moisture factors and all based on a proprietary lipid-rich emulsification systems, DermOrganic products outperform standard hair and skin care formulations to deliver exceptional results to salon treated hair”.

DermOrganic Reviews

Daily Conditioning Shampoo Review

The shampoo has a super thick texture that easily spread over my entire head of hair. It quickly created a thick, rich lather and has a somewhat sweet fragrance. It washes out very easily and doesn’t leave behind any residue at all. By far, one of the best shampoos that I’ve used in a long time.

Now here’s something that I found to be interesting about the DermOrganic shampoo- it’s made with facial cleansers derived from Essential Fatty Lipids (EFAs)  and amino acid based skin cleansers that moisturize and strengthen salon-treated hair. That means it is the only shampoo to moisturize, strengthen and rebuild the hair every time you wash your hair.

Ingredients in the shampoo include:

  • Argan oil
  • Sunflower seed extract
  • Grape seed extract
  • Omega-6
  • Linoleic acid
  • Vitamin E
  • Rice amino acids
  • Antioxidants plant extracts

Daily Moisturizing Conditioner Review
The conditioner is also super thick and has a creamy texture. It’s very easy to work it through your hair and I found that it detangled my hair effortlessly- and I have a lot of hair. That being said, I usually have to use an insane amount of product to untangle my locks but with the DermOrganic conditioner I only needed something about the size of a quarter to get the job done. I love how from the second I start rinsing my hair it starts to untangle it and leave it feeling smooth. Brushing and styling is much easier too.

The product description on their site also says that it controls frizz and prevents flyaways and I agree with them on that. I tend to pull my hair back when I’m at work a lot which often frizzes my hair but it hasn’t been an issue lately. My hair definitely looks and feels healthier and better groomed since I’ve started using it.

Ingredients in the conditioner include:

  • Rice amino acids
  • Organic argan oil
  • Vitamin E
  • Sunflower seed extract
  • Organic grape seed extract

Masque Hair Repair Review

If your hair needs some major moisture control, this masque is a must! It gave my hair a heavy dose of deep conditioning that made my locks feel soft and healthy. Like the shampoo and conditioner it did this without weighing down my hair so I know that there was no residue left over.

Now here’s the crazy part-it only takes one to two minutes to work. In a nutshell, I made my hair wet and then ran the conditioner through it. After one minute I rinsed it out and got on with other things that I wanted to do that day. If you’re pressed for time or have a kid at home who doesn’t understand the concept of mommy taking a shower that lasts more than five minutes, this masque is a godsend.

Here’s some more points from the company description to consider:

  • Repairs damaged hair
  • Smoothes and softens
  • Strengthens and texturizes
  • Makes hair manageable again
  • Fortifies and improves elasticity

Ingredients include:

  • Argan oil
  • Grape seed extract
  • Sunflower seed extract
  • Rice amino acids
  • Vitamin E

DermOrganic Spray Therapy Review

I like to spray the DermOrganic Spray Therapy directly onto my hair when I’m ready to brush it out and flat iron it. Not only does it detangle the knots but it cuts down my drying time. By the time I’m done ironing my locks, they look shiny and there’s less frizz to worry about. Again, there’s no residue and better yet no grease so my hair feels weightless and silky when I use it.

Ingredients include:

  • Argan oil
  • Vitamin E
  • Grape seed extract
  • Sunflower seed extract

DermOrganic Leave-In Treatment Review

Another one of my favorite products on the DermOrganic line, the Leave_in Treatment is made with certified Argan oil. It smells incredible and is easy to apply but doesn’t leave my hair or hands feeling oily and greasy. In fact, I don’t have to wash my hands after applying it if I don’t want to (I have a bit of an OCD and was after- well, pretty much everything). I don’t have to use more than a dime size amount to see how shiny it makes my hair. Best of all, there’s no frizz whatsoever.

A few other added benefits include:

  • Adds incredible softness and shine
  • Protects hair from thermal damage
  • Speeds drying time up to 40%
  • Restores optimal moisture
  • Revitalizes and repairs
  • Seals cuticle and protects color
  • Smoothes and softens
  • Enriched with Omega-6, lipods, antioxidants, Vitamin E and natural moisture factors

Ingredients include:

  • Organic argan oil
  • Grape seed extract
  • Vitamin E
  • Sunflower seed extract

DermOrganic Volume Foam Review

The Volume Foam is a mousse that is made for people who have wavy or curly hair. In my case I have wavy hair and found that it did a great job in giving my waves more body that lasted throughout the day. Since I have long hair I use to pumps of the mousse so that I can cover all of my locks evenly and thoroughly. Like the other products it doesn’t weigh my hair down and gives it a beautiful shine.

Some other benefits include:

  • Non-aerosol enviro-mousse
  • Ideal for round brush styling
  • Provides thermal protection
  • Alcohol free
  • Suitable for all hair types
  • Humidity-resistant, heat-resistant
  • With anti-fade extracts and UV inhibitors to protect hair color
  • Maintains style after brushing
  • Made with 3 UV inhibitors

Ingredients include:

  • Organic argan oil
  • Grape seed extract
  • UV inhibitors
  • Rice amino acids
  • Vitamin E

DermOrganic Defining Whip Review

The whip really separates and defines the waves beautifully. Again, the formula helps to control frizz while giving your hair shine without adding any weight or residue to it. It also leaves my hair feeling soft and smooth rather than sticky and hard.

Ingredients include:

  • Rice amino acids
  • Argan oil
  • Grape seed extract
  • Sunflower seed extract
  • Vitamin E

DermOrganic Texture Taffy Review

The first time I tried the taffy out I overdid it and ended up with very stiff hair. Pretty hair, but very stiff hair that felt sticky and unattractive. So I’m going to start off by saying a little bit of taffy goes a long way. When used properly the taffy is actually a handy tool to use if you want to style your locks. It provides a good hold but doesn’t look or feel stiff.  I find that the DermOrganic Volume Foam is all I need on a regular day, but on a day when it’s super humid and even your nose hairs are on end, the taffy is a great help.

Ingredients include:

  • Carnauba wax
  • Rice amino acids
  • Argan oil
  • Grape seed extract
  • Sunflower seed extract
  • Vitamin E

All in all, I loved each and every product that I tried out. They’re made with some great ingredients and do what they say they do. They’re all lightweight formulas that don’t leave behind residue that weighs your hair down but do leave you with shiny, healthy looking hair. As if all that isn’t enough, check out these other benefits of purchasing DermOrganic hair products:

  • Vegan
  • No Animal Testing
  • No animal by-products
  • No artificial preservatives
  • Sulfate free
  • Gluten free
  • No sodium chloride, salt, MEA, DEA or dyes
  • Paraben free
  • Propylene glycol free
  • Ph Balanced 4.5 – 5.5

Oh and one more thing- that argan oil that they use is the real stuff and they use a lot of it. If you don’t know anything at all about argan oil, let me just tell you that it’s a miracle oil. The trees only grow in Morocco and the Moroccans have been using the oils for centuries to make their hair shiny and soft, to make their skin smooth and to cook with.

Would I use their products again? Absolutely! I’m totally hooked. You can learn more about or purchase each one of them on http://www.dermorganic.com/

I have been looking for a good organic line of hair care products for a while now but the ones I’ve tried so far just didn’t cut it so I’m back on my chemical based expensive products that I’m not even all that happy with (and they cost a small fortune)! Hopefully dermorganic will be just what the doctor ordered! I’ll be giving this a try for sure. The shampoo ingredients just sound great!
