Fall Winter 2013 Shoe Trends

23 Oct

The fall winter 2013 shoe trends are in at Macys and they’re all about showing off the very best of your fashion sense in style and comfort. The styles are so exciting and bold that you can wear them with a black turtleneck and leggings and still have them make a statement. Here are some of my favorites.

Wedge Heeled Boots

I have issues with my feet and can’t wear glamorous sky high heels so I’m very thankful that boots with wedge heels are in style this season. You’ll find boots with both high and low wedges so that you’ll get the height you crave but in such a comfortable manner that you can walk all day and dance the night away in them. As for styling and height, the sky’s the limit.

Furry Boots

Fur is huge this season and if you’re an animal lover there’s no need to worry about animal cruelty because it’s not rabbit season.  Most, if not all of the furry shoes  at Macys are made from synthetic fibers but look expensive and real. Besides being a fun way to show off your wild side, furry boots are a great way to keep your toes warm.

Wedge High Tops

Want the comfort of a sneaker with the look of a heel? Wedged sneakers are so comfy that you’ll be able to run through the holiday rush without feeling achy and sore at the end of the day. These shoes have a great casual elegance that looks great with jeans as well as a cotton skinny pants.

Mixed Textures

Combining leather, metal closures and studs, cloth and adding laces, stones and other accessories is another popular shoe trend for fall winter 2013. These styles look great with pants, skirts and dresses and can often times go from casual to chic. To really make your outfit pop combine this trend with a brightly colored shoe.

Reptile Skins

Crocodile and snake skins were a popular winter textures and last year and we’re so happy that they’re back this year.. You’ll find them in ankle length as well as knee length boots, ballerinas, wedges and pumps. For a more classic feel get a pair in brown or black. If you want them to stand out try a pair in a bright color such as magenta, emerald or hot pink.

Vibrant Colors

Just because it’s cold out it doesn’t mean that your wardrobe has to be grayed out. The 2013 fall winter shoes are alive with bright colors that are sure to pick up your mood and put a smile on your face. You’ll find any color shoe or boot you can imagine to complete your look.

Color Blocking

Mixed textures, bright colors…… of course they both lead us to the ever popular color blocking trend.  Don’t be afraid to pair these shoes with boldly colored dress, but if you’re on the more conservative side, they’ll still look great with a gray, blue or black dress.

Western Boots

Forget the traditional styled cowboy boots and check out the newer sassy looking versions. These boots are a little flirtier and are often time finished off with metal accessories and closures. The heels tend to be on the lower side but you can find high heeled versions.

You may have these styles already in your closet already but if you don’t now is the time to pick them up.
