Nars is one of the first beauty brands that I became loyal to when I first started wearing makeup. I always found that their products maintained their high quality of excellence and that their colors interest me. I would like to share some Nars lipstick reviews of my favorite classic and new colors from their line with you.
Nars Lipstick Reviews
I first tried Honolulu Honey in college and it’s been a staple in my makeup drawer ever since. The color is a vibrant nude peach and it’s perfect for all year round. I use to love wearing it during the spring and summer because it looks great with a glowing tan however since I no longer tan I find that the best way to use it is to mix it with other colors. This is especially true during the winter when I use it with deep reds to give it more depth. It goes on smooth, feels velvety soft and actually conditions my lips so that they’re soft the entire time that I’m wearing it. The Nars Honolulu Honey lipstick is a cream base (or satin as Nars puts it) so it lasts until I’ve eaten something.
The Nars Gipsy lipstick is one of my new favorite shades of berry red. Somewhere between a red and a neutral it’s a color that even the shyest person who stays away from the red family can try and love. Gipsy is also super soft and moisturizing so that it feels great on. Like other reds, it does bleed so I have to be sure to use a matching lip liner with it for a finished look. If you’re looking for a red, I would definitely recommend this one.
The color Buenos Aires comes as a velvet gloss lip pencil and packs more moisture than most of the pencils that I’ve ever tried. If your lips are dry, cracked or chapped the vitamin E and other moisturizing ingredients that they packed into this pencil are sure to help you. Buenos Aires is rich, has a beautiful shine and is a true nude color.
