B Kamins Review

27 Aug

B Kamins is a name that I’ve recognized for years and have seen in a few luxury pharmacies throughout NYC. I’ve recently had the opportunity to try out the B Kamins Maple Body Lotion which is meant to be used for all skin types.

Company Description: “A luxurious body lotion infused with honey, soy, shea butter and rich water binding ingredients for ultimate moisture and hydration.  Healing aloe extract and vitamins A and E help soothe and provide vital nutrients to dry, parched skin.  This quick-absorbing formula pampers body from head to toe, leaving skin feeling velvety soft and supple; the perfect after-bath indulgence”.

The B Kamins maple body lotion includes ingredient such as maple isolate, honey extract, aloe, shea butter and jojoba seed oil so I was expecting it to be ultra-moisturizing and possible even rich. What I found was that the lotion is actually somewhat thin as if it were water based. What this means is that it goes on and absorbs quickly and you’re unlikely to see streaks. Right off the bat I noticed that it gave my skin a nice glow and made it appear to be hydrated so that’s a major plus. The downside is that rather than making my skin feel smooth it made it feel sticky for the first fifteen minutes or so. As for the fragrance, it has that wonderful scent of maple syrup which isn’t too great for me because every time I use it all I can think of is how much I want to eat a stack of pancakes. How many calories is that?

I won’t be purchasing the B Kamins maple body lotion in the future, but maybe I’ll check out one of their other lotions.

Have you tried any of the B Kamins products? Thoughts?
