Alivea cream takes you back to basics by using three simple ingredients only: beeswax, olive oil and water. The company doesn’t believe in using chemicals, parabens and prefers to put out a product that will hydrate your skin naturally instead.
Company Description: “The cream, made up of all-natural, powerful components, will hydrate your skin, protect against free radicals, promote healing and, best of all, soothe your skin”.
Normally when I write a skincare review, I use the product for eight weeks. However this time I tried it out for less than two weeks because I found it to be so rich. The cream is very thick because it gets its texture from the beeswax, however it spreads easily. It has a very light fragrance and gives the skin a beautiful glow which makes it appealing. However, here’s why I stopped using it so early on in the game. It’s rich, very rich. The New York humidity is relentless and so using a heavy duty cream such as this one is difficult at the time. I have no doubt though that I would love it during the cold winter months when my skin is in desperate need of some heavy duty moisture and protection from the wind.
I also love that the Alivea is made from natural products. If a company can make skincare so simply and have it come out so well, it makes me wonder why more companies don’t do so as well.
Have you tried out Alivea? What are your thoughts on it? I can’ wait to try it out this winter.
