3Lab Review

27 Jul

During the hot and humid summer months, it’s important to change your moisturizer to one that allows your skin to breathe which is why I was so happy for the opportunity to review the Hydrating-Vita Cream by 3Lab. I had read some good things about it and as a skincare fanatic I had to try it out for myself.

Company Description

“This vitamin-rich, moisturizing gel is light in texture but serious when it comes to skin protection and maintenance. It contains a replenishing complex that prevents moisture loss and provides the skin with up to 24 hours of hydration. Packed with potent antioxidants, it delivers essential nutrients to help plump the skin while antioxidants like Vitamins A, C & E treat dryness and restore skin to its optimum health. Best for use on dry to normal skin this is the perfect solution for dehydrated skin”.

3Lab Review

When I first scooped some of the 3Lab Hydrating-Vita Cream out of the jar I noticed that while it’s a turquoise color, it’s almost opaque in color. Once I spread it onto my skin it was actually completely see through. The cream isn’t very thick and spreads so smoothly that it’s effortless to use. It also absorbs quickly so that you don’t have to waste time standing in front of a mirror rubbing your face needlessly.

The moisturizer is ideal for summertime use. It’s super lightweight so that I didn’t sweat it out in the heat and believe me when I say that a lot of the heavier ones made me glisten as if I had applied baby oil to my face (ew). I actually felt comfortable because my face didn’t feel suffocated and could breathe freely. I also like the light scent which I have no idea what it is but is ok with me because I hate heavy fragrances.

3Labsuggests that you use the Hydrating-Vita Cream after you used one of their serums.  I just used it on its own and found that my skin looked healthy, vibrant and beautiful all on its own. I got the moisture that I was looking for in a good moisturizer and saw no need to use another product with it. In fact, I strayed away from the 3Lab a few times so that I can review other creams and found myself going back to it each and every time. However, if they recommend a serum, then you may want to head over to their moisturizer section to see what your options are and which products will work for you. I’ll be heading there in the fall for some extra protection myself.

The 3Lab moisturizer includes some ingredients that we’ve seen in many other moisturizers before (lavender, orange and Vitamins A,C and E). However, I have to say that I’m surprised to see ingredients such as eggplant, henna and turmeric extract amongst the other more popular ingredients. Although I know that turmeric is great for the skin, I’ve never seen it in a beauty product before and am really excited about the opportunity to try it out. As it turns out eggplant is great for keeping up skin tone and henna is good for keeping away irritations and helping improve burns.

So is it worth spending $130.00 for this moisturizer? I definitely think so. I’m a big fan now and plan on being one for years to come. You can visit their site at http://www.3lab.com/

Have you tried 3Lab before? Do you have a favorite moisturizer that you can’t get enough of and go back to each and every year?

I’ve never tried this moisturizer but it looks super hydrating and thick. I’ll have to look into this one!
