I was given the opportunity to try out NBW lotion in the summertime lime scent. NBW is a Canadian company that uses certified organic ingredients to make their products so that you know that you’re using only the best possible skincare that they can provide. Ingredients missing from the lotion are parabens, petroleum and non-GMO ingredients (genetically modified food).
“This light lotion is designed to refresh and gently moisturize. It contains Shea Butter to improve skin’s elasticity, Grape Seed Oil for antioxidant properties and Avocado Oil for its essential fatty acids. Vitamins C & E are added for their anti-oxidant properties which heal skin, promote cellular health and naturally preserve the product.
Esthetic professionals depend on our lotions in their manicure and pedicure treatments. At-home fans report using it as a daily facial moisturizer and a quick treatment for dry hands”.
“Stimulate and refresh a tired mind with essential oil of Lime. This is a wonderful lotion to use at the start of the day. Lime oil is traditionally used to combat feelings of anxiety and depression. In a lotion, it can help to clear oily, congested skin”.
NBW Lotion Review
The packaging is quiet pretty and reflects the scent of the lotion. Since I was given the summertime lime, the white bottle has a green label wrapped around it. The front of the label says the company name and fragrance type while the back includes the ingredients list as well as some other useful information. I’m floored by some of the great ingredients that they used to make the NBW lotion.
The company really went out of their way to include anything that would make the lotion super moisturizing and nourishing.
- Sunflower Seed oil
- Grape Seed oil
- Aloe Vera Leaf Juice
- Jojoba Seed oil
- Unrefined Shea Butter
- Avocado Oil
- Lime Essential oil
- Non-GMO Vitamin E
- Natural fatty acid
The company really went out of their way to include many ingredients that would make the lotion super moisturizing and nourishing.
Upon applying the NBW lotion the first thing that I noticed was the incredible scent of lime and since I’m a citrus lover I was in heaven. The scent wasn’t very heavy and lasted for about half an hour. The moisturizer is pretty thick but absorbed into the skin quickly and spread easily. There were a couple of times when I applied a little too much of it and expected that it would leave white streaks on top of my skin for a few minutes before it was absorbed. This didn’t happen though. The lotion took a few seconds more to absorb and it was gone.
I also found that I didn’t have to use a lot of the NBW lotion to get the job done. Compared to some other lotions that I’ve tried, I needed only a little bit to cover large areas. As they promised my skin did look and feel healthy and moisturized when I used it and since I only applied it once a day, that’s pretty good. As for my mood, I can’t say that it made me feel happier, but it did make me feel more energized but lemon and lime scents have that effect on me.
Would I use the summertime lime NBW lotion again? Absolutely! It’s moisturizing, energizing and well worth the price of $16.99.
