Macadamia Oil Review
17 Jul

I love hair products that contain argan oil in them because I truly do see the how shiny and healthy they make my hair look. That’s the main reason that I was first drawn to the Macadamia hair products. I wanted to see if they matched up to some of the others that I’ve tried and to see if I would become a lifelong customer.
The Packaging
Every product comes in a brown bottle with a neon green top and brown and green label. I like the color combination because while the brown is soothing, the neon green is energizing so they balance each other out nicely. You’ll also find directions, ingredients and a little bit of information about what the product should do on each label.
Basic Information About The Macadamia Hair Products From The Company
Macadamia Natural Oil products meld lightweight and nutrient-rich properties of Macadamia nut and Argan seed oils to revitalize even the most problem hair, nourishing from root to tip for effortless health and beauty.
Problem hair is defined as:
- Damaged (chemicals, wind, sun)
- Frizzy
- Dry
- Colored, straightened, permed
- Hard to manage
- Tangled
- Dull, lifeless
- Brittle, not soft, lacking “touchability”
- Out of control, wild
- Thick, bushy
Macadamia Nut Hair Oil
The hair oil is called the Macadamia Healing Oil Spray. It’s described by the company to be “an ultra fine mist that instantly absorbs into the hair, weightlessly infusing moisture and shine”. They also say that it:
- Provides intense nourishment
- Long lasting tangle and frizz-free finish
- Amazing shine and manageability
- Instantaneous absorption
- Light weight non-greasy feel
- Extends color treatment life
- Natural UV protection
New York has been especially humid and muggy this year and all hair oils don’t necessarily works on me. The Macadamia nut hair oil however, reduced the frizz greatly so that there was very little to no frizz at all. It also made my hair silky smooth and shiny which is always a plus- especially after I’ve fried my hair by running it through a flat iron. A bonus to the oil is that it smells amazing. Very sweet but not overpowering. Now here’s a word of warning- do not spray the Macadamia nut hair oil directly on to your hair! Although it comes in a spray form and it does get absorbed quickly, if you’re not careful and spray too much you’ll end up looking like you’ve got greasy, unwashed hair. Of course, this warning goes for any hair oil, but still it has to be said because you don’t want to run back into the shower after you just got out. So go ahead and spray the oil onto your hands and gently run your fingers through your strands. You’ll still get the same great results without the worry.
Macadamia Oil Shampoo
The Macadamia oil shampoo is called the Rejuvenating Shampoo. The company says that “it’s designed to add moisture and protection to all hair types and is excellent for dry, damaged hair”. Some attributes are:
- Sulfate and paraben free
- Gently cleanses chemically treated, damaged hair
- Replensihes moisture with no heavy build-up
- Builds protection from harsh daily environmental elements
The Macadamia oil shampoo has the light fragrance of honeysuckle which I love because it takes me back to my childhood days when I ran around my grandmothers yard. It also builds into a nice, thick lather which I like. The shampoo rinses out easily and leaves my hair feeling clean and replenished. My hair did get tangled, but the conditioner took care of that.
Macadamia Conditioner
The Macadamia conditioner is called the Moisturizing Rinse. The company claims that “Our moisturizing rinse is a daily conditioner designed to nourish and detangle hair, leaving it manageable and ready to style”. Attributes are:
- Gently detangle
- Nourishes and protects
- Leaves hair soft and manageable
- Provides UV protection
The Macadamia conditioner is actually my favorite product in this review. My hair tangles very easily and it’s such as hassle to comb out a lot of times. The conditioner really detangled my hair and left it feeling smooth and soft. It felt lightweight and not at all greasy. It also had that same great honeysuckle scent but more of it than the shampoo so I really got to indulge.
Would I purchase Macadamia hair products hair products again? Yes because my hair is frizzy and dry and can use all the help it can get. If you have oily hair, I would probably recommend that you skip this one because it’s so moisturizing. Otherwise I like it and would use it again.
Have you tried any Macadamia hair products? What was your experience?

It’s super rich so it should be great. Let me know how you like it.
I LOVE macadamia oil!!! I won’t be replacing my argan or Moroccan oil products. It’s macadamia all the way! I got mine at a beauty show too. And I got their cleansing conditioner ‘Flawless’. Just one more product in their line to love!! I have seen this product at Albertsons and CVS as well.
It’s so great that you can get amazing products such as this one at your local drug store and at a good price.
I need to try this stuff too. I color my hair and fry it with flat iron often, which makes me a perfect candidate for nourishing hair potions.
The things we do for beauty. It’s a good thing that these beauty companies make such great products to help us out.
I love this stuff! I got to try it all except the oil spray. xoxo
