I got a sample of Armour lip gloss at the blogger event in The Makeup Show New York. Now if you’ve never heard of Armour Beauty before, the line is strictly made up of glosses and is created by the one and only Theo Kogan who is a makeup loving singer/ model. Many celebrities, including Rachel Zoe, Eva Mendes, Fergie and Lady Gaga use the glosses and love them for the very same reasons that I’m about to tell you about in this review.
My absolute favorite thing about Armour Beauty is their list of ingredients which includes avocado butter, avocado oil, mango seed butter, olive butter, grape seed oil and shea butter. With all of the chemicals that we put on and into our bodies today I’m always looking for brands that have some natural ingredients in them and was blown away by the number that were included in the Armour lip gloss. Each and every one of them is meant to moisturize your lips and to keep the gloss on longer. The icing on the cake is that the glosses are paraben free and they don’t test on animals.
The Armour Beauty lip gloss packs a lot of pigment so that the color that you see in the bottle is what you get when you’ve applied it. The gloss that I got to try out is Annn Margret (22) which is an opaque coral color perfect for the summertime. It’s one of those colors that can be worn by everyone regardless of their skin tone and can go from day to night. It doesn’t bleed, it’s not sticky and of course, because it’s a gloss it captures the light beautifully and really shines.
I am a coffee drinker so I do get to see the gloss transfer from my mouth onto my cup. While some glosses start to feather at this stage, I found that the Armour Beauty gloss didn’t. Instead it faded slowly until it vanished. No mess no fuss.
Armour Beauty makes a phenomenal gloss and I plan to continue using. I hope that you give them a try and like them as much as I do. Their glosses go for about $21.00 and can be purchased at http://armourbeauty.com/.
