Avocado face masks are one of the best and most nutritious masks that you can use on your skin.
The fruit is packed with vitamins and unsaturated fats that work wonders on people who have acne as well as sensitive or dry skin.
They also help to slow down the aging process making them highly versatile and desirable.
Here are some avocado face mask recipes that are effective, inexpensive and so easy to make that you’re sure to love them.
1. Avocado Oatmeal Face Mask
This is one of the best Avocado face masks for people with dry skin it’s super moisturizing and help to restore damaged skin.
- ½ Ripe avocado
- ½ Cup of oatmeal
Cook the oatmeal as instructed on the package and mash up the avocado meat with a fork. Mix the two ingredients together and apply the paste to your skin. After 10 – 15 minutes wash it off with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry.
2. Avocado Honey Face Mask
This is one of my favorite avocado face mask recipes because it really works to give your skin a beautiful glow. Don’t worry, it’s not too sticky, but it is delicious.
- 1 Ripe avocado
- 1 Tablespoon of honey
Mash up the avocado with a fork and stir in the honey until it turns into a paste. Once done apply it to your skin and leave it on for 15- 20 minutes. When you’re done, wash off the mixture with lukewarm water and pat your face dry with a soft towel.
3. Avocado Yogurt Face Mask
This avocado face mask is also a great one for people who need to pump up the moisture in their skin and is one of my favorites for the cold winter months.
- ¼ Ripe avocado
- 1 Teaspoon of plain organic yogurt
- ½ Teaspoon of honey
Using a fork mash the avocado until it’s soft and then mix in the honey and yogurt to make a paste. Apply it to your skin for 10 – 15 minutes and remove it by washing your skin with lukewarm water.
4. Avocado Egg Face Mask
I’ve never tried this one before but a friend of mine swears that this recipe makes for a great avocado face mask for acne because it reduces the oil found on the face.
- ½ Ripe avocado
- 1 Egg white
- 1 Tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
Mash up the avocado with a fork and fold in the egg white and lemon juice. Apply it to your face for 10 to 15 minutes being careful to not get it into your eyes. When finished wash your skin with lukewarm water and pat it dry.
You can apply any of these avocado face masks once a week to get the best possible results. I love what they do for my skin and hope that you like them as well.
