Too Faced Better Than False Lashes

21 May

Applying false lashes can be time consuming and sticky which is why I was super excited about getting to try out the Too Faced Better Than Lashes which is a brush-on false lashes kit to review. It’s meant to cut down your prep time while giving you the look of those long, fat luscious lashes that you crave. Not a bad thing considering the amount of time that it takes to apply false lashes.

The packaging is amazing because its main focus is to let you know what to expect based on consumer study results, including:

  • After using Better Than Lashes women said that their lashes looked 98% longer.
  • Women saw a 42% increase in lash length.
  • They saw a 98% increase in lash volume.
  • Lashes appeared to be 90% thicker

You will also find easy to follow directions on the back of the packaging so that there’s little chance of confusion.

The Better Than Lashes kit includes one activating mascara base and top coat and one flexistretch nylon fiber. No mess, no fuss. Before I go into how to use it and the results, I should tell you that my lashes are ruler straight. Even the use of a lash curler helps a little but at the end of the day when God was giving out beautiful lashes I was at lunch. Look for yourself.

My Natural Lashes

To start the process of getting the Better Than Lashes look, you first have to apply the base coat which is the black bottle. This coat made my lashes a little longer and a little thicker. Although it felt a little sticky when I first applied it, it dried fairly quickly so it wasn’t an issue. The first time I tried this process I tried to curl my lashes at this point but found that even after drying my curler kept getting stuck so if you need to curl do it before you apply the base coat.

After The First Step

Next, I applied the flexistretch nylon fibers from the white tube. I really wanted fat luxurious lashes so I brushed on a lot of the filaments while being careful not to get it in my eyes. The filaments stick on to the first coat of mascara without any problems and I found that I was able to move on to the next step within seconds.

After The second Step

Finally, I applied one more coat of the base coat. The mascara covered the filaments and my lashes beautifully.

Final Outcome

Now I can’t give you percentages, but using the Too Faced Better Than False Lashes definitely made a big difference in my lashes. They appear to have more volume and look fuller and longer- just like they promised. Would I purchase this product in the future? You bet I would.

Nice photos to really show how the products worked. I’ll take your word for it that your lashes are that straight–they don’t look like it in the before photo! :) x

It’s true my lashes are like skewers. I have to curl them to give them just a touch of body.

Gahh. I love this mascara as well. I saw a video review on YouTube and decided I absolutely HAD to have it in my life.

I love the step by step photos! I will definitely have to give this a try. I’m okay at applying falsies, but I always feel so fake when I put them on (like I’m lying to the world or something) and the hubby hates them! This is officially on my wish list now! Thanks for the great post!

Really? I love false lashes. If I had a choice I would want to be born with them. Love the Too Faced product though. It’s a life saver.
