How To Do A Leopard Print Eye Shadow

16 May

Leopard print eye shadow is one of my favorite artistic eye makeup ideas. It’s a fun way to walk on the wild side and set your creative side free. If you’ve never tried doing it before, you may think that it’s hard, however you’ll find that with the right tools and a little practice getting the perfect leopard eye shadow isn’t all that hard.

Supplies

  • Primer
  • A good pencil eye liner
  • 2 Eye shadows- one light  and one darker or sparkly
  • Mascara

How To Do Leopard Print Eye Makeup

1-      Start by applying primer to your eye lid and be sure to cover the brow bone. This will ensure that your makeup goes on smoother and stays on.

2-      Apply the base color shadow of your choice to the entire eye lid up to your brow.

3-      Using your pencil liner, draw on some horizontal pod shapes throughout your eye area. You can also draw them on your brows, under your eyes or travel out towards your ears if you like. It’s easier to control a pencil liner than it is a liquid liner however if you want the rich effect that you can get from a liquid liner try Make Up Forever Aqua Eyes.

4-      Using the darker or sparkly shadow color fill in the shapes. If you accidentally color over the liner and it bothers you, you can always go back and draw over them again later. You can also draw a line over your lash line now if you like. Otherwise you can do it later.

5-      Using your liner once again draw a line on your lash line.

6-      Finish the process by applying two coats of a voluminizing mascara.

It may take a couple of tries to get your leopard print eye shadow done right but it helps to have a steady hand so put away the coffee. Have fun and stay creative.
