I’m very excited to be writing this Vincent Longo review because the brand puts out one of the best lip glosses in the industry as far as I’m concerned. What I look for in a great gloss is one that delivers color, doesn’t come off too easily and isn’t sticky. I found all of this with the Vincent Longo lip gloss.
I’ve always said that there’s a beautiful shade of red for every woman out there- all you have to do is try them all on until you find one that looks great on you. In my case the perfect shade of red for me is a Vincent Longo Perfect Shine lip gloss by the name of Venezia Red. It’s a sheer berry red color that borders on a natural brown. The color is very easy to wear and goes with anything. As far as the name Perfect Shine goes, yes it provides enough shine so that it captures light making your lips appear to be fuller. My one and only suggestion when wearing this gloss is to be sure to wear a matching lip liner, not because it bleeds but the gloss doesn’t appear to look finished and sophisticated without it.
Something else that I love about this Vincent Longo lip gloss is that it doesn’t feel sticky. I hate glosses that make your lips stick together because they feel uncomfortable and almost make it difficult to speak. With the Vincent Longo, the gloss feels nourishing and soft, almost like a moisturizing lipstick but even more so. As it turns out, the Perfect Shine glosses are enriched with aloe vera, sesame oil, lanolin oil and vitamin E all of which help to increase moisture.
Finally, the gloss stayed on while I drank a cup of coffee which surprised me. I’m afraid to say that I’m programmed to think that no gloss can come in contact with a cup without being wiped off so it’s nice to see that this isn’t the case. However, it did come off after I ate lunch which I was expecting so it wasn’t a letdown. After all, how many great glosses are there that can last through a tuna sandwich?
Would I purchase this gloss again? Definitely. I have three glosses by Vincent Longo and love each and every one of them. If you try out one of his glosses I think that you will too.
