I think that Da Bush is one of the most brilliant names that the people over at Essie have come up with over the years. Sort of makes me wonder if they’re very creative or simply sniffing too much nail polish at work but whatever it is I love the name of the polish. If you haven’t seen it until now, Da Bush is one of the resort colors that the company launched this past year, but it’s a color that can definitely still be used during the spring and summer months.
Da Bush is a muted shade of khaki green that is somewhat greyed out. The first coat looks highly washed out but I found that the second coat made all the difference in the world. It gave the color the rich feeling that only a creme finish can give with enough coverage to make it interesting. Just be sure to use a clear top coat to add a touch of shine and to keep your polish on a little longer.
It’s a highly understated color that can be worn on a daily basis whether you’re at work, in school or running errands. If you’re planning on a night out however, keep this one in reserve for another day.
