Fashion Trends For Spring 2012
29 Dec
The spring season of 2012 is delivering a multitude of prints and styles that are sure to make your style stand out. Here are some of our favorites.
Color Blocking
This trend has been around for some time now and shows no sign of slowing down. Designers and fashionistas love the color blocking effects and have taken it to the next level by giving it a punch of bright color. Styles with this theme can be found in two, three or even four colors in just about every silhouette there is.
Geometric Prints
An alternative to color blocking is geometric prints. However these prints take on a life all their own as they are created with the use of bright colors to make them stand out. In addition to this they have an art deco touch that get the eye moving all over the garment so you’ll be sure to attract quite a few gazes when wearing one of these prints.
Flapper Girl
If you love the flapper girl look you’re in luck. This spring you’re sure to find many dazzling dresses that are beaded and accessorized to perfection. You’ll find dresses in a multitude of colors but the tradition of the look remains in the length of the dresses.
Knee Length
Skirt hems have dropped a few inches to right above or right below the knee. All you have to do is throw on a pair of heels and you’ll get a very sophisticated and sexy look. Shorts are also in the longer length and have a very playful feel.
Peplum Silhouettes
Absolutely adorable! The peplum is a style created when the fabric gathers at the waist and flairs out. A great look to go with pencil skirts and cigarette pants. Be careful if you plan on wearing it with a skirt or pant that is not fitted because you may end up looking pregnant.
Bold Floral Prints
Of course floral prints are to be seen everywhere- its spring! Look out for super-sized flowers of all kinds in all of the spring 2012 color trends. There will be garments with an allover print as well as ones with partial print designs. And if you’ve never tried on floral pants before, there’s no time like the present to do so.
The flapper look is my favorite and I’m really excited that the length of dropped a little. What has you excited about spring fashion?
