Can Calgon Take Me Away?

21 Nov

I remember being a kid and seeing the commercials where the woman would slip into a bath at the end of the day and say “Calgon take me away.” As a kid and an adult I never thought to try out any of the Calgon bath products. However when the folks over at Calgon were nice enough to offer me some samples it made me wonder if their products really were any good. Now here are my Calgon bath reviews.

I’m not one for taking baths but I do love soft skin so when I read about how the Calgon bath salts are fortified to make your skin more nourished I felt the need to take one after all.  It took a minute or two for the salts to dissolve into the water and for a nice fragrance to fill the room. The combination of the English Garden scent and the warm water was relaxing (especially because my bath took place at ten pm and my daughter was asleep rather than ponding at the door) and I did enjoy my bath. Although I didn’t feel squeaky clean, my skin did feel moisturized which is what I really wanted.

So what to do about feeling clean? No problem. Another Calgon bath product that I got to try was the Calgon Tropical Dream shower gel. I used it like a body wash and saw that it lathered up beautifully and went on smoothly. A little bit of the gel went a long way and I was able to obtain a clean nourished feeling.  I happen to have very dry skin so I used baby oil after my bath. However I was still able to see how smooth and nourished my skin felt even before the baby oil was applied.

So to answer the question that I was wondering about- ‘Can Calgon take me away?’ The answer is yes both products are moisturizing and for someone who has dry skin like me. it’s important to use products that contain minerals and vitamin E for some extra support.

Minerals and vitamins sound good enough for me to want to try it. Thanks for the tip to use it as a shower gel, I’m not a bath person either.
