I’ve been looking for long lasting lipsticks more and more because I simply don’t have the time (or memory) to constantly apply and reapply lipstick when I’m at work. However, I do want to look my best so I try to make sure that I apply lipstick two or three times a day. I haven’t found a lipstick that lasts all day and looks great, but I have found some that feel and look great and last for hours.
Estee Lauder Pure Color
The Estee Lauder pure color lipstick stayed on and felt great. As with some other long lasting lipsticks, this one didn’t feather or bleed at all. The color lasted while I ate and drank and the product made my lips feel moisturized.
If you’ve never tried Eve Pearl makeup before you’re missing out. Her lipsticks are about $24 each, but well worth the splurge because they give bold color and last for hours. I’ve actually applied one of her lipsticks in the morning, ate breakfast, drank coffee and found that the lipstick was still on. Later on at lunch the color wasn’t as brilliant but there was still some on and there was absolutely no feathering. On a side note Eve Pearl is a makeup artist to the stars and her makeup line is a Grammy winner. Not bad.
Clinique Lip Smoothie
The Clinique Vitamin C Lip Smoothie is not only a long lasting lipstick, but is also moisturizing. The lip smoothie is packed with Vitamin C and antioxidants which help to keep moisture in your lips. There is one difference between the Clinique lip smoothie and other lipsticks that I should point out and that is that the Clinique lipstick comes in an applicator that you have to twist to get the color out. It’s sort of like twisting a pen so that the tip comes out. When you twist the applicator a little bit of product comes out and it looks and feels like a gloss. The reason that it’s not a gloss is probably because it’s long lasting and glosses just don’t have that sort of staying power.
MAC Pro Longwear Lustre
This lipstick delivers long lasting results as promised and doesn’t bleed or flake. I love it because it has a nice sheen that gives the color a little pow while keeping it natural.
If you’re looking for a long lasting lipstick, I would recommend any of these. I’ve heard that Dior makes a great one, but I haven’t tried it yet and can’t review it. If you have let me know.
