If you’ve never heard of Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics also known as OCC Cosmetics, you’ve been missing out on their phenomenal lip tars. The people over at OCC Cosmetics were nice enough to send me a few samples in colors (from left to right of the above image) Memento, Stalker, Demure, Grandma, Analog and Plum.
OCC lip tars are known to provide bold color and go on smoothly like a lip gloss but have the lasting effects of a lipstick. You don’t need to use a lot- one drop goes a loooong way so you get to save up some of that cash you work so hard for. Another ingenious fact about these tars is that you can mix them to make your own colors which is great for you ladies who like to play with your makeup and create your own shades.
I should also mention that they’re 100% vegan, cruelty-free (no bunnies hurt here) and free of parabans and other harmful ingredients in cosmetics. Instead OCC lip tars are made from ingredients such as hemp oil, peppermint oil and vitamin E.
In order to stop the tars to from bleeding be sure to apply come liner your lips and to use a lip brush to apply the lip tar. Again, using too much of this product will make it bleed so use a little at a time. I found that squeezing a tiny bit out of the tube and then dipping my brush into the tar was the best was to go.
As I mentioned previously these OCC lip tars were made to be long lasting and let me tell you- they do last. The color goes on strong, but it doesn’t feather or flake as time goes on. It just slowly, slowly fades but in a way that you still have some color on your lips. It also feels great on. Very smooth and soft so that your lips gets a nice little conditioning treatment. All in all, I’m very happy.
OCC lip tars sell for $13 which is a steal when you think about how little you have to use and how long the color lasts.
