Butter by Keba sent me some scented moisturizers in some really interesting scents to try out. While their products are not natural they are infused with some deliciously fragrant extracts such as grapefruit, chamomile, cinnamon leaf, green tea, coconut and jasmine. The butters include ingredients such as jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, and sunflower oil. The hand-made fragrances combined with the thick rich shea butter make for a nourishing moisturizer that lasts.
I just used a touch of each one of the moisturizers and found that it was enough. The moisturizer washed off after two hand washes, but the fragrance still remained for a better part of the day. If you like fragrance, Butter By Keba is going to feel like your very own aromatherapy session.
Now here’s a little bit about the company….
‘Makeba Lloyd liked to blend her own moisturizers and fragrances in her Harlem apartment. However, it wasn’t until she took a trip to Egypt where she was inspired by the aromas of the open air markets that she began to make her signature blends. Makeba was so intrigued that she took aromatherapy and natural perfumery classes at the New York Open Center. ‘
