Dermalogica Review

There are a few times in my short time as a blogger when I actually clapped like a little girl upon receiving a sample of a product. One of the times that this happened was when I got some Dermalogica products to try out. I had heard that this brand was a favorite of many estheticians and so I was very curious to see what all the hype was about. After all if so many people are talking about it, it must be a worthwhile product, right? As it turns out, I was far from being disappointed. In fact, I wish I had tried some of their products out sooner because my skin looked vibrant and healthy after one use and even better than that after one week. Check out my Dermalogica review to see the process and my thoughts on each product.

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel

This cleansing gel smells like lavender and leaves your face feeling smooth. I was surprised to find out that it’s soap-free and doesn’t contain an artificial fragrance or color because it left my skin feeling so fresh. I’ve tried some cleansers which don’t wash away easily, but the Dermalogica cleanser washed off easily with warm water.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

How often do you hear about an exfoliator that is gentle enough that it can be used daily? If you’ve never tried one, here’s your chance. The Daily Microfoliant comes in a powder form so that you have to add a few drops of water to it in order to turn it into a usable paste. Once you have the paste ready (it only takes a few seconds), you treat it like any other exfoliator and gently apply it to your skin using circular motions.  The Daily Microfoliant has very small particles that will roll over your skin and gently remove any dead skin cells so that once rinsed properly, your skin will look radiant.

Dermalogica SPF 30

The Dermalogica Solar Defense Booster is a little thick, but gets absorbed by the skin very quickly. It feels light enough so that it won’t feel heavy in the warm weather. This sunscreen was actually made to be mixed with the moisturizer for optimum sun protection so you can either apply the sunscreen first and then the moisturizer or simply blend them together and then apply the mixture to your face.

Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream

This Dermalogica moisturizer is a little thicker and heavier than the sunscreen, but is still light enough so that it can be worn in warmer weather. At first I thought that the scent of the cream was from a eucalyptus plant, but upon reading the ingredients on the back of the tube, I realized that the fragrance came from a variety of plant, fruit and flower extracts.  The cream took a few minutes to absorb into my skin, but once it did, I can honestly say that my skin looked rested and refreshed. The scent took about five minutes to lessen and I didn’t even notice it anymore.

Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Firm

An age smart beauty product, the Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Firm is very light weight and absorbs into the under eye area very quickly. When I first applied it to my skin, it felt super moisturizing- almost oily, but not quiet. After about thirty seconds however, my skin felt dry, but hydrated.

Dermalogica SPF 15

You didn’t forget your lips, nose and ears, did you? Dermalogica didn’t. The Solar Shield is water resistant and lasts for up to 80 minutes. It feels rather nice on and if you’ve forgotten your lipstick at home is a great substitute because it’s very moisturizing.

All in all, if you’re looking to get great skin care, I would highly recommend Dermalogica products because each product improves the look and feel of your skin and as a whole, the line will make your skin look positively flawless. Dermalogica offers a variety of products for all sort of skin types and problems.

I’m a huge fan of the brand and would purchase these products in the future.
