I was lucky enough to get a sample of Intensify Facial Discs which is made by Dr. David Colbert (NY Dermatology Group). These facial discs include effective ingredients such as bromelain and lactic acid. The bromelain is taken from pineapple enzymes and helps to make your skin glow and feel fresh and healthy. The lactic acid is a natural exfoliant that works as an anti-aging product. Together, these ingredients work to increase surface cell turnover and to make your skin look younger and more radiant.
While the facial discs work best when used with the other products in the skin care line put out by the Dr. David Colbert, I found that they delivered great results on their own. The discs felt slightly rough when I first took them out of the glass jar. However, once I added a little water to them, there was no harshness at all. When I was ready to actually use one of the facial discs, I dampened my skin and gently made small circles with the disc for 30 seconds. I was actually be able to feel the little disc work to gently exfoliate my skin. When I was done, I used lukewarm water to wash off the products and patted my skin dry.
I was amazed at how smooth and clean my skin felt- just like a baby’s bottom. It was like getting a facial only better because it didn’t take an hour to do and my skin still looked great a couple of days later. I have sensitive skin so I was very careful when I first tried the product, but found that I was able to use it twice a week and get good results which is great because the instructions on the jar say that you can use it up to three times per week.
One more reason that you should try Dr. Colbert’s facial discs is that Dr. Colbert is not only a highly esteemed doctor in the dermatology field, but a doctor who gives back. He started an organization called the NYDG Foundation which sends medical personnel and supplies to people in crisis around the world. How’s that for heart?
